  1. CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — SpaceX just launched its third astronaut mission in less than a year. A slightly sooty Falcon 9 rocket topped with a Crew Dragon capsule took to the skies above NASA's Kennedy Space Center here at 5:49 a.m. EDT (0949 GMT) today (April 23), lighting up the predawn sky as it lifted off from the historic Pad 39A. The launch kicked off SpaceX's Crew-2 mission, which will carry four astronauts — NASA's Shane Kimbrough and Megan McArthur, French astronaut Thomas Pesquet and Japanese spaceflyer Akihiko Hoshide — on a 24-hour flight to the International Space Station (ISS). https://www.space.com/spacex-crew-2-astronaut-launch-rocket-landing-success?utm_source=Selligent&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=SDC_Newsletter&utm_content=SDC_Newsletter+&utm_term=3434627&m_i=KLvKbavQ4dBTohVlMqKtKMkVzoXoTQv%2Bor6RtFml2ytssKdZjh9cyOMEENhHFSIbPeQGo1QoKzR_Eue2S33dRoP8DMdYOcjYvmXbzS1KKe
  2. I didn't realize Jordan was that old. No wonder he retired.
  3. I like what Fitterer has done so far pre-draft. The Panthers have transformed from a team seemingly desperate for a top tier QB in the draft, to being one in control of their own destiny. If "their guy" is gone by 8 it appears they'll be able to acquire some additional high draft picks. TLDR: This draft is shaping up as a no lose situation for the Panthers.
  4. Bye Mack Daddy! It's almost like we never knew ya. No, it's exactly like that.
  5. A team with many areas of need shouldn't be committing a significant portion of its cap to a position it can easily address in the upcoming draft.
  6. This is the most correct answer. Watson would be well advised to stick with the Texans massage therapist going forward.
  7. Massages aren't a free for all situation. Gotta keep Mr. Wiggly under wraps. If I were as rich as Watson, I'd have a paid chaperon in the room with me to help discourage these sorts of lawsuits. Might seem ridiculous, but that's the world we live in.
  8. Of course the Panthers are doing their due diligence, but there are at least 7 teams in front of them at the moment. Stand by for further developments. "Life is what happens while you're busy making plans."
  9. Anyone outside the Panthers organization that claims to know what the team intends to do is delusional. Those within the organization likely won't be able to say for sure until the moment of truth arrives.
  10. Sam might not be the guy to lead us to the promised land, or maybe he will be. Only time will tell. Let's give him a chance to show what he's got as a Panther before we write him off.
  11. Panthers draft strategy is wide open after acquiring Sam. All things are possible.
  12. Here is Archie Manning talking about Darnold's situation w/the Jets last October (during a broader conversation about Trevor Lawrence). Some may recall that Archie was as a pretty good NFL QB on some really bad Saint's teams. He also raised two sons that went on to win several Super Bowls. So, I'm gonna have to give his opinion a little more weight than the average sport pundit.
  13. Say what you will, Tepper's influence is having a positive impact on the Charlotte sports scene. Doubt Charlotte would have an MLS franchise without him. Might have missed it: Did Dave ask the City Council to kick in some money for this renovation or is this entirely team funded?
  14. Meh, right now Teddy isn't even sure if he's gonna be around in another week or two. If Teddy ends up staying in Carolina, I suspect he'll act professionally when competing with Sam if for no other reason than it's in his best interest to do so. Last thing Teddy needs at this point is to get a rep for having a bad attitude.
  15. Probably not. Maybe I'm expecting too much from someone who may become the next face of the franchise.
  16. Agreed. Among the long time starters, Steve Beuerlein, Rodney Peete and Jake were tolerable to decent public speakers. All the rest of our starters would've benefitted greatly from joining Toastmasters.
  17. True. While Darnold certainly wasn't hired for his Q&A prowess, he should have enough money squirreled away by now to afford a public speaking coach. If I were Tepper, I'd hire one for him ASAP. Shouldn't take too much effort to clean up his verbal pauses and it would make his press conferences a lot less painful to endure.
  18. Checking into rehab as soon as I've recovered from the "you know" drinking game induced blackout.
  19. The Darnold trade is already paying dividends. Other teams can no longer peg the Panthers first round pick. More teams, not less, should be interested in trading picks w/Carolina for their preferred player at 8. TLDR: Panthers are now sitting in the catbird seat thanks to the Jets trade.
  20. It may be too late for that. Ask JR, former franchise owner, how well his payoffs/NDA's protected him from the wrath of the NFL and the court of public opinion.
  21. Welcome and thanks for the encouraging words.
