  1. Just view the Huddle as free mental therapy for disenchanted Panther fans.
  2. No mental gymnastics required. Clearly Rhule and his staff saw enough good in Sam Darnold to trade for him.
  3. Yeah, it kinda supports that old saying: Everyone has an opinion, just like they have an...
  4. I wouldn't worry too much about it. This is a football message board that doesn't add up to a hill of beans, beyond a way to kill some time sharing opinions.
  5. Maybe you should just stick with saying what you mean, rather than trying make excuses for what you posted. TLDR: Words have meaning.
  6. There were a few posters here that stated they'd no longer be fans if Jones was the Panther pick. Other than that, there wasn't much discussion of it in the media.
  7. Would you like to provide the post where Mr. Scot made this claim?
  8. This is obviously not true. Has been calling for Hurney's head for years.
  9. Coaching up Darnold is going to be a season long process. It's not going to be like a light switch that you can flip on or off. There are likely to be some bumps along the way for those here champing at the bit to call this QB experiment a failure. Panther fans should provide Sam a chance to prove himself before passing judgement. After all, we haven't even made it to training camp yet.
  10. What happened with the Panthers draft was unlike anything we've witnessed heretofore. To successfully trade back multiple times, Fitterer and Rhule would have had to have a clear vision of the draft, not only for the Panthers, but also for every team. It is truly amazing the amount of time and effort that would be needed to pull this off. No wonder Rhule has been looking so exhausted these last few months.
  11. Exactly. The better managed teams seem to be able to lose multiple key players and still win games/make the playoffs. Hurney's teams lacked the depth needed for the long haul and were one injury away from also ran status.
  12. An inability to fill holes and add depth were two of Hurney's biggest shortcomings among many others. The way Fitterer and Rhule managed this draft was amazing, and in stark contrast to what Panther fans are used to seeing.
  13. Yes, Darnold has been inconsistent as a QB, we know this. Sam is mobile and can make all the throws. He isn't timid or physically limited like Teddy. However, Sam made too many bad decisions on the field as a Jet. The question is: Will the Panthers coaching staff be able to help Sam correct his issues and realize his potential? I don't see how anyone here or on the Panthers staff can know the answer to that question this early in the process. Clearly the Carolina coaching staff believes they can. Maybe we should give them that opportunity before passing judgement on Darnold.
  14. Russell Wilson actually did make it back to the SB and threw an interception at the goal line to lose the game to the Patriots. Otherwise, nice post.
  15. Posting football topics on a football forum to generate content is weird to you? Doesn't seem weird at all. In fact, it seems like exactly what an owner/operator of a football forum should be doing. What's weird? Going out of your way to criticize someone for posting football content on a football forum. That's really weird.
  16. Waiting on Sam's 5th year option was a strategic move. Why would the Panthers want to reveal their true intentions prior to the draft? Answer: They wouldn't.
  17. If that is all Brown does (goal line specialist) he is worth the pick.
  18. Panther fans, you've just been Fitterered.
  19. This has been the most entertaining draft for the Panthers that I can recall. It has been like being on a rollercoaster (and the ride isn't even over yet).
  20. As a Panther fan from the get go, I have to ask, is this even legal?
  21. Was just thinking the same thing. Marshall, like DK could be a game changer.
