  1. The next head on the chopping block should be Rhule's. If he chooses to leave his fate in the hands of others, so be it.
  2. What team have the Panthers traditionally had trouble beating? That's the team I'd like to see hire Joe Brady.
  3. The firing of Brady surprises no one. Waiting a week into the break to do it does suggest some sort of disfunction within the organization.
  4. From a fans perspective it does seem like Tepper has made quite a few mistakes. Keeping Hurney around and allowing him to participate in the selection of a new HC comes to mind as an example. However, Tepper has all the financial resources needed to make the Panthers a perennial powerhouse. What he doesn't seem to have is an advisor capable of providing useful advice when it comes to selecting NFL coaches and management. That could possibly change overnight or maybe it never will.
  5. If you're Tepper, you don't. Chalk it up as a lesson learned. Fire Rhule and move on. Hopefully to bigger and better things.
  6. A third season of Rhule would be nothing more than a wasted opportunity. Matt was given the keys to the kingdom and we've seen the horrible results. He's out of his depth.
  7. Rhule can stay till the end of the season or box up his stuff today. Doesn't matter, this team's season is essentially over either way.
  8. First and foremost: Tepper needs to hire an outside consultant with extensive NFL experience to guide him moving forward ASAP. I've seen nothing to indicate that Fitterer should be entrusted with leading the Panthers search for a new HC.
  9. All other bad decisions aside, this is the main reason Tepper shouldn't give Rhule a third bite of the apple.
  10. An excellent question. Would love to know the timeline on how this move went down.
  11. Who knew running an NFL team would be so complicated and shouldn't be left to amateurs?
  12. Tepper should be in damage control mode at this point. Rhule and company are out of their depth and need to be shown the door.
  13. Tepper needs to put a lock on the Panthers cookie jar ASAP and kick Rhule and company to the curb at the end of the season.
  14. Wasn't trying to say the d is as bad as the o. Regardless of how good the defense may be, it doesn't make up for this team's other shortcomings.
  15. As time goes by that vaunted defense doesn't appear as good as advertised. In the final analysis, this coaching staff has proven incapable of putting a winning product on the field. That is all that really matters.
  16. If Rhule say's he is 100% committed to his current job, he's as good as gone! Where? To paraphrase Closing Time Lyrics: He doesn't have to go home, but he can't stay here
  17. If Dave Tepper isn't ready to can Rhule at the end of this season, I'd feel better knowing that someone like Doug Pederson was on staff and waiting in the wings just in case this team continues to head south in year three. Firing a Head Coach mid season a lot easier when there's already a viable candidate on staff to replace them. Right now there is no one that could step into Rhule's shoes.
  18. You may have hit upon something. I always wondered why so many Panthers fans thought Siefert was a former OC.
  19. Seifert was a defensive player and defensive coordinator prior to becoming a Head Coach for the 49ers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Seifert
  20. Is this a serious question? Would you be upset if Rhule left this week to go to LSU?
