  1. @Captain Obvious should have started this thread.
  2. Bear in the woods responds: The answer to your question is... YES! YES! A thousand times... YES!
  3. Not surprised to see so many loyal fans breaking their addiction to Panthers football. You'd have to be a masochist to enjoy watching the Carolina Panthers this season. Its your call Mr. Tepper. Double down or fresh start?
  4. Don't give up hope just yet. Bucs vs. Panthers is the day after Christmas. Unless the Panthers pull a rabbit out of their hat, it will result in another loss for Rhule. Black Monday, December 27th, watch as several coaches on the hotseat lose their jobs. I fully expect Rhule to be one of them.
  5. Rhule: It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas everywhere I go...
  6. Yeah this is a puzzler considering the Panthers head coach can't shut up about players being capable of playing multiple positions but on the entire team there isn't a semi-capable backup kicker? What? Are you kidding me? Tepper needs to kick Rhule like a bad habit.
  7. If Rhule is making the call on those linemen you know he'll screw the pooch.
  8. Derrick could still be a big help to the Panthers, if he gives Matt Rhule a big bear hug and a wet sloppy kiss on the lips. That just might land Matt on the COVID/can't coach the Bill's game list. Could be the winningest move ever by Brown! Go team! Keep pounding! Disclaimer: This post is meant as a poor attempt at satire. Please don't bear hug or kiss Matt Rhule on the lips if you possibly have COVID.
  9. I'll always have a place in my heart for the Panthers. However, when they have a bad season, I just dial back my enthusiasm for the Panthers and increase my enthusiasm for NFL football in general. A good NFL game without the Panthers is still a good NFL game. Hope springs eternal that Dave Tepper will eventually hire coaches and executives capable of at least achieving mediocre, if not exceptional, results. First step: Panthers need to recognize they have a problem. Second step: Panthers part ways with Matt Rhule.
  10. Quite possibly Tepper is driving the train. All the more reason why he needs a seasoned veteran coach/executive of the NFL to have his ear. Someone that can talk Tepper down from the ledge. Rhule is not that guy.
  11. If this is an example of what we're to expect from Rhule in the future, Tepper would do well to cut ties with Matt in the coming weeks. No way Panthers can afford such a reckless individual to have the keys to the kingdom. Rhule will ruin this franchise for years if he is retained for 2022.
  12. I understand when a team like the Rams goes all in and trades away multiple future draft picks because they are in win now mode. Panthers giving away a boat load of picks and possibly up coming players for Watson with all his issues just seems like a quick way to ruin a franchise for half a decade or more.
  13. Yeah, it sucks when you'd like to know what your talented players are capable of, but unfortunately, the team is too mismanaged to ever find out.
  14. I'd be surprised if he didn't. But agreed, not sure we need that sort of arrangement. Historically it just hasn't worked out well for the Panthers. Capers, Seifert and Rhule have been given extraordinary power and have been extraordinary failures.
  15. Would be ironic if it happens. Tepper could do much worse, but rumor is that Tepper wanted Tomlin fired when Dave was part owner of the Steelers.
  16. Haha, I'm sober as a judge and it's a little past 9pm. So I'll be up for awhile. Stick around and share some more of your wisdom.
  17. Yeah, I get all that. Turns out Tepper is the owner and there's no reason for him to sell the team. I don't see him going anywhere anytime in the foreseeable future. I've seen the disappointment on Tepper's face this season. He's not happy. I don't see Rhule competing at the NFL level anytime in the next several years. He is outmatched and failed to build a staff w/experienced coordinators. Might have made all the difference, but now Rhule has been exposed as someone out of his depth. Don't see him recovering from that. I don't know what Tepper is going to do, but he has more resources than he'll ever need to right the ship and turn this team around. I'm not throwing in the towel on Dave Tepper after just a few years as owner.
  18. Bad look for sure. Especially when a response from the organization used to be the standard. Poor customer relations. That would be a comment worth sending to the team office. If I were a PSL owner they'd be getting that input from me for sure.
  19. Maybe, but Tepper is human and is going to make mistakes like everybody else. He clearly is an intelligent man, but maybe he was somewhat naïve when choosing his first coach. I'm still hopefully that he's learned from his mistakes. Nothing he's done wrong so far is a fatal error. If he actually recognizes his mistake in hiring a college coach, that is something that is easily remedied. Question is: Will Tepper double down on Rhule or cut bait before 2022?
  20. I'm pretty sure the Panthers have a comments box somewhere. You should give it a shot. You might get some SWAG for your trouble. That, or a lifetime ban from the games.
  21. Perhaps, but that wasn't the claim I was attempting to discredit.
