  1. If Watson is well informed, his first stipulation before signing with Carolina will be: Canning Matt Rhule and finding a new HC.
  2. Sounds like Deshaun has implemented the "Three Strikes You're Out!" Rhule.
  3. Yep, Tepper is living proof of the old adage: The difference between men and boys is the cost of their toys Tepper doesn't seem to grasp his role as an owner. Hire the best management possible. Then, step back and let them do their jobs. TL/DR: David Tepper is still doing it ass-backwards
  4. Agreed. We all know why. The owner is clueless and the incompetent people he's put in charge are attempting to save their jobs.
  5. Can anyone imagine Sam Darnold leading the Panthers to the playoffs? A Super Bowl? Nope, me neither. If Kaepernick remains in good shape physically, he would be an immediate upgrade.
  6. If Watson was unhappy with personnel and coaching decisions in Houston, he certainly won't be any happier in Carolina.
  7. Yeah, even in the AFC West, I've gotta believe Denver is now in a very competitive position. That division promises to have some really good matchups this season. Go Raiders!
  8. Yeah, we already know all the downsides of a move like this by Tepper. Now I'm looking for a silver lining in the acquisition of a serial masseuse flasher. Watson forcing Rhule out, is the best I can come up with for now.
  9. Isn't Watson the guy who wanted more of a say in Texans management/coaching decisions? Pretty sure it was an issue of contention until his massage envy popped up. If Watson settles his legal issues and comes to Carolina, I doubt Deshaun's tolerance for Rhule's three ring circus lasts more than a season. Then Watson will force Rhule out the door, just like Rhule forced Hurney to take a hike.
  10. Let's say Watson's legal issues were resolved in his favor, why would he want to be traded to Carolina? The number of teams interested in trading for Deshaun would presumably increase if his legal issues disappeared. So Watson would presumably have options. A franchise QB in relatively high demand wouldn't accept an offer from a team that is in as bad or worse shape than the one they're currently with. No franchise QB is looking at a cellar dweller like Carolina and thinking, "That's a well coached/managed team destined for greater things (Super Bowl)".
  11. Panthers QB situation is getting worse?!?! Weren't Sam Darnold and PJ Walker our QBs last year? How could things possibly be worse than that?
  12. When you're Matt Rhule, you pay the salaries of two starting QBs every season. Even though, you never keep more than one of them on the roster. That's just what you do, when you're Matt Rhule.
  13. Apparently not Tepper, he got his GM from a team that has been misfiring on draft picks/trades for years.
  14. The Wilson of late hasn't been the Wilson of the Super Bowl years. Don't get me wrong, he's still one of the best at what he does, just slower and less elusive. In the long run Seattle and Wilson will both be better off for doing this trade.
  15. Panthers Droppings: Scott Fitterer is gonna leverage his Seahawks connections to trade for QB Drew Lock. Tepper Trends: Rates this speculation as "Well within the realm of Rhule".
  16. Tepper keeping Hurney after he fired Rivera was a big red flag. Tepper hiring a HC with virtually no NFL coaching experience was another big red flag. Tepper praising Marty as some sort of draft genius was another big red flag. Tepper firing Hurney and letting a novice HC run the organization was another big red flag Tepper not firing Rhule after two terrible 5 win seasons was another big red flag. Say what you will, we've had a lot of big red flags.
  17. I appreciate Tepper's efforts to secure a MLS franchise for Charlotte and hope the team does well. Having said that, the crown jewel of Charlotte's sports teams is his NFL franchise, an organization that has been terribly mismanaged since he bought the team. Here's to hoping Tepper now focuses his attention on hiring a competent NFL executive to finally get the Panthers house in order.
  18. So far, when it comes to the Tepper owned, Rhule coached Carolina Panthers, chances are you'll die of starvation long before you get a chance to eat crow.
  19. Hmm, didn't realize you were in charge here. Oh, wait, you're not.
  20. Ask D. Newton if you're that concerned about it. I'm going with what my own eyes tell me and agree with the NFL executive's analysis.
  21. Giants just did a full reset on their management/coaching staff and rightfully so. That's what the Panthers should have done as well. Rest assured, NY media takes no prisoners when it comes to criticizing their sports teams shortcomings. In comparison, Charlotte media handles the Panthers with kid gloves. David Tepper should thank his lucky stars he owns a franchise here rather than NYC. Otherwise, Dave wouldn't be able to show his face in public without getting called out for his ineptitude.
  22. For those upset about this thread, blame the NFL executive that called the Panthers a shitshow. Or better yet, blame the people in charge of the Panthers.
