  1. This. Matt Rhule's original hand-picked staff required a major overhaul after only two seasons. Taking into consideration all of the Head Coaches the Panthers have ever had, Rhule has had an historically bad first two years. No other Panthers Head Coach has ever been retained after one 5 win season, forget two 5 win seasons.
  2. I only know of one person who would say yes to your question. Unfortunately, it's the same numbskull who currently owns the Carolina Panthers.
  3. Apples and oranges. Orange you glad to have options? or As the old saying goes: One bad owner (from the Big Apple) spoils the barrel.
  4. True, and anyone that has been a fan of the Panthers for more than a minute knows it. In his third year, Matt Rhule will have his hand held throughout the season by more experienced NFL coaches on both sides of the ball. All Matt has to do in order to achieve his best record in 3 seasons is listen to these voices of experience. Million Dollar Question is: Will Matt Rhule be smart enough to talk less and listen more?
  5. All for Carolina finding another TE that can reliably catch the football. Having said that, the OP's video was a highlight reel of bad coverages.
  6. Meh, maybe I shouldn't give Tepper the benefit of the doubt, but I was feeling generous at the time. Even if Corral doesn't displace Sam Darnold out of the gate, it is a hopeful sign to see this franchise try to provide some competition at the QB position. Something I can't recall happening in quite some time.
  7. True. For now, I'm taking Tepper's comments at face value. He seemed to give Rhule his unqualified support recently. That coupled with no veteran backup suggests Rhule isn't going anywhere in the near future.
  8. It appears that the Panthers intend to run more this season. If true, that would bode well for Sam Darnold. If Sam makes any progress with in-game decisions he could produce another mini win streak (like last season). Matt Rhule and Scott Fitterer would likely favor this outcome, as it would provide an "We were right all along" narrative for their trade w/the Jets. With this in mind, chances are Rhule and company are going to give Sam Darnold every opportunity to succeed early this season. However, if Matt Corral is all that and a bag of chips (clearly heads and shoulders above Darnold) well, all bets are off. TL/DR: Everybody loves a winner!
  9. Being compared to the rest of Rhule's first year coaching selections has greatly benefitted Snow's reputation. TL/DR: In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.
  10. This is like Christmas Day for Carolina Panthers optimists and homers. The draft picks are still all shiny and new. Almost anything seems possible.
  11. The Seahawks quickly realized what they had in Wilson as a rookie QB (Russell beat out Matt Flynn in training camp). It seems like forever since the Panthers have had that sort of good fortune in the draft.
  12. Pass. I'm waiting for the GM that says the Panthers are a "play and win" organization.
  13. Carolina has the pick of the litter for OL!
  14. This is why Rhule is still here, Tepper's ego.
  15. This is why you fire Rhule at the end of 2021.
  16. The Panthers new grass stain resistant uniforms seem to be working out rather well.
  17. Meh, the land won't go to waste. A smart developer can repurpose the building if needed. I don't see a financial downside for Dave. He now owns a large amount of acreage in a fast going region. Chances are he'll make out like a bandit if he waits a few years before selling it. The City of Rock Hill will likely be forced to make good on their contractual obligations or compensate Tepper for his losses. The biggest downside for Tepper is he has likely burned some bridges with powerful politicians in the region. Rock Hill residents will likely be the biggest losers in this fiasco. Gonna suck to watch local tax dollars going into a billionaire's pockets and getting nothing in return.
  18. Posting on social media isn't enough, super bowl teams have to have some of the most talented players in the league. Our team's social media warriors aren't that.
  19. This. Any owner making smart football decisions would've fired Rhule at the end of the 2021 season.
  20. Tepper needs to stop trying to leech off of SC taxpayers and build his Panthers HQ with his own money. Dave's worth somewhere north of 16 billion. It's hilarious that this deal with Rock Hill SC blew up in his face. Let's not kid ourselves. If Tepper had pulled this off, his next move would have been to play NC against SC for a new domed stadium. That would have resulted in billions in construction costs being shifted on to the backs of hard working Carolina tax payers. Tepper is more than capable of paying for his team's wish list of construction projects without draining local government coffers of tax dollars better spent elsewhere.
  21. Is Tyler Linderbaum falling? Not a good sign for a center.
  22. JR looks like a choir boy in comparison to Snyder. No way should Daniel Snyder remain an NFL owner. I'd replace him simply for selecting Commanders as the team's new name.
  23. Coach Speak: Most teams lose because they don't know why they lost. Translation: I have no idea what I'm talking about, but I'm a good BSer and get paid millions to do it. Ain't life great?
