Panthers - Jaguars Gameday Thread
NanuqoftheNorth replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Is it too soon to call for a new OC? -
Roger Goodell: Damn that Tom Brady... I'm goin' to destroy all my VHS tapes of this game!

Brady: If I only had my cell phone!

Still a glimmer of hope...

Steelers really not in sync tonight.

Pittsburgh has failed to capitalize on their opportunities tonight. I'm really starting to have a Dallas level of dislike for those cheaters in NE.

Love what D-will is doing tonight!

Carolina Panthers Offensive Line Depth Chart
NanuqoftheNorth replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Even modest improvements in the passing and running game should allow Cam to get rid of the ball faster. That in conjunction with modest improvements on the line should help discourage opposing defenses from feeling they can tee off on our offense without risk.- 29 replies

Jameis Winston: "An Embarrassment"

Based on some of the comments here, you must be an exception to the rule. -
Jameis Winston: "An Embarrassment"
NanuqoftheNorth replied to Anybodyhome's topic in Carolina Panthers
FSU treated Winston as an entitled athlete, which he was, so did the local community. Who is to blame a young man for taking full advantage of that entitlement as big man on campus? Winston is a symptom of a larger problem in high school, college and pro athletics. The problem is the "adults" charged with overseeing his education and extracurricular activities. These adults are too quick to look the other way in pursuit of winning a game. -
Jameis Winston: "An Embarrassment"
NanuqoftheNorth replied to Anybodyhome's topic in Carolina Panthers
Winston thrived in a system that tolerates repeated instances of poor behavior as long as an individual has the talent to win football games on Friday and Saturday. It says more about our society's misplaced priorities than it does JW. The vast majority of college students behaving in a similar manner would have more than likely been expelled and possibly spent some time in jail. -
I don't know if reducing the psi on some footballs made all that much difference, but it seems like a travesty of justice when the two equipment guys associated with this are suspended indefinitely, while the obvious initiator of the deflated balls gets off with a slap on the wrist. What were the equipment guys to do? Equipment Managers: "Yeah, Tom we hear ya. You want less pressure in the footballs, but there are rules about this sort of thing. We could get fired, so we're not going to do it." Tom: Well if you don't do it guess what is going to happen? These equipment guys were put in a no win situation and now they have lost their jobs. Meanwhile the instigator gets a few more weeks off to attend some more celebrity functions with his supermodel wife.

Sources say Brady suspension coming next week
NanuqoftheNorth replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Brady should be forced to play with a ripe pumpkin for the same number of games he is suspected of using an under inflated football. I guarantee no QB will ever allow their balls to be deflated again. -
Jameis Winston: I didn't steal the crab legs
NanuqoftheNorth replied to TNPanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Just about any employer looking at this young man's history over the last few years would be reluctant to hire him, as they should be. He is fortunate that he has been blessed with such great talent on the grid iron because with his track record he would have a problems getting employment at a Chick-fil-A. -

Yes I'm sure sponsors will ignore his continued lack of good judgement. -
Jameis Winston: I didn't steal the crab legs
NanuqoftheNorth replied to TNPanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Even now, on national TV, he is acting like he didn't know his "friend" at Publix was helping him steal. Hey, draft me! I lack a moral compass and am willing to jeopardize my professional future for some crab legs or... I'm just really slow on the uptake. -

Possibly the most costly crab legs ever. -

Huddle Mod Semi-Finalists Announced

That does sound delicious! I'd like to order a Lola/Montsta combo with some curly fries and a big Cherry Coke to go. -
Looks like you may be channeling Dave Gettleman with those comments. Eventually it all comes down to money, Panthers don't have enough to keep everyone they would like to long term. Hard choices needed to be made. GH's questionable behavior off the field just made the decision a little easier than it would have been otherwise. For those here channeling Marty Hurney, we don't expect you to understand.

Seriously, our red zone percentage sucks and so does our clock management. Game clock runs out before Cam is provided the play.

The Super Bowl Sunday gameday thread
NanuqoftheNorth replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Both teams played a great game and should be proud of what they've accomplished this season. Congratulations to the NE Patriots. Hopefully the Panthers will be in the SB next year putting a beat down on Brady and the Pats.
