  1. Honestly man - I am seriously trying to help you - take a deep breath and stop responding. Every response makes you look worse. You have no clue what you are talking about. Your first paragraph agrees with us COMPLETELY and you are angrily responding with nonsense.
  2. Facts are difference than feelings - no one said they don't like having elite players - literally no one. The fact is we cannot afford more than 1-2 elite guys right now because our contracts suck. All of us want the team on the field to be good and win games - but our current situation doesn't give us a chance for that if we dup 60% of our cap space into 1 guys when we need 10 upgrades.
  3. Nothing weird about actually understanding how the NFL works instead of thinking it is like Madden
  4. AJ Brown was traded for a 1st and early 4th a few years back.....I would suspect it would take at least that for JJ, so a 1st and 3rd at least is probably right
  5. Pitre, Stingley, Christian Harris are all rookies before Stroud got there - haven't made a Pro Bowl yet but they will. You can give all the credit to Ryans if you want, but those guys are studs that they built the team with through the draft. I said Starters/Pro Bowlers....not just Pro Bowlers. Those guys are better than anyone we had on our defense at those positions. That team doesn't make the Playoffs without them.
  6. You are missing my point - they drafted 2-4 starters/Pro Bowlers each year in the last 3....we haven't drafted ANY in the last 3 years. They sign FA's who start and play well - we haven't. They got a new HC who was outstanding - ours was fired mind season his first year. Acting like these 2 teams are in the same ballpark loses you any credibility. The Bengals had 3 years of rebuild also before Burrow & 2020....we have spent the last 3 years adding NOTHING. What on this roster do you see we added the last 3 drafts? Honestly what talent are you talking about?
  7. No one is saying it isn't possible, but agreeing it is unlikely same as you. But you are ignoring context - the Texans were 3-13 but they had already begun rebuilding for years - they had a top 4 pick 4 straight years, not 1. They developed guys like Nico, Greenard - they had back to back really good drafts for Stingley, Pitre, Tank, Stroud, Anderson, Harris. They had cheap, productive FA signings in Schultz and Singletary. They had a large amount of available funds. We have none of that....none.....Our point is we are the 2020 Texans not the 2022....we are a few years and alot of luck away from JJ making much difference.
  8. It makes a huge difference how you structure the deals - Purdy is costing them only $1M this year....Aiyuk $14, Bosa $14.7. Not saying we can't get multiple stars but our contracts at the moment have us locked up.
  9. Some of yall need to learn the difference between 2-15 and 7-10....this team needs literally 7 or 8 upgrades to make the Playoffs at all...2-3 stars to make a real run. Draft picks are the most valuable commodity we have right now....we got into this mess because we didn't treat them like that...now you wanna give em away to rent a guy for 2-3 years. You know he wouldn't sign a long term deal here.
  10. Bro - you could have Davis, Ridley, Burns, and the #33 pick - you have to look from that perspective cause it is true. You would never make that deal.
  11. I wanna be friends but....Cooper Kupp, Tyreek Hill, Davante Adams, Steve Smith, Keenan Allen, AJ Brown, Deebo, Metcalf, Diggs, Michael Thomas.....I will just stop cause this could go on....
  12. The man will be double teamed on 200% of his snaps.....or you could get Calvin Ridley AND Gabe Davis for the a little less money.....without trading Burns.....hmmmmmm
  13. Don't ruin my happiness - I want hopeful ignorance right up until Week 1
  14. And therein lies our problem - we suck at scouting for the draft
  15. The problem is there is almost never top tier WR talent available in FA - this year is the same. We won't have a shot at anyone above Marquise Brown, who is a high caliber #2. We draft or we don't get a top tier.
  16. And there's the Tag - now we would have to give up considerable draft stock to get him....which is why this would never work, sadly.
  17. Our poor drafting is reason #1 we are in this mess....poor trades is #2.....poor FA signings #3.....all of those point to Fitt, so hopefully we see major improvement.
  18. You can still tag and trade from the non-exclusive tag - the power there is it allows him and us to get a realistic value for him. Right now he is stuck on $30M....if he knows no one will give him that he may back down to a more realistic number and we can extend.
  19. Although I agree having more money means you can get better talent, everyone has more money now - which means there will be LESS talent available for us to get. The two scenarios will cancel each other out....not much changed for us truthfully.
  20. This is actually better for us on the Burns situation - non-exclusive tag him....teams are more likely to give him $30M which means TWO FIRST ROUND PICKS FOR US. We have to build this team to win in 2-3 years, not 2024.....there is ZERO chance we can gather enough assets this offseason....we need picks and cash for 2025. This would solve both issues
  21. Too much money invested to give up yet....not enough to be jaded
  22. Personally a little too negative to me. Bryce I would give no worse than a C. Biggest issues were pocket awareness, holding the ball too long, and fumbling when hit too often. His errant throws were much less than Baker, Darnold, a ton less than Cam from what I saw and those guys weren't rookies. I saw enough flashes to give him a C but enough issues to believe it might be a D when we can see clearly who he is without the other issues. Mingo I give a C but I also think he was used horribly - he was shoved in the "X" receiver role and was completely not ready - Day 1 he was given way too many targets and got overwhelmed. I still think he could be the level of the guys you mentioned but I blame the coaching staff much more than Mingo at this point. DJ was a terrible pick - trading up was a waste - the guy did nothing - absolute F. Yes he is a rookie, so why not the same pass as previous 2? Cause he is 25 years old....if he doesn't have it now he ain't gonna get it. Massive reach and we failed Zavala I do give some credit - injuries didn't allow him to be ready and he got forced into service and overwhelmed like Mingo. C for now Jammie was a 5th round pick - not a ton of expectation to live up to, so hard to give an F....I would still say C since he wasn't expected to do much
  23. Yep - that is why I like the non-exclusive tag - let him go try and get his $30M - if he does we get 2 first round picks. If he doesn't we sign and trade. But at least we don't let him walk and get nothing more than a late 3rd round pick.
  24. Gotta agree here - sometimes you gotta let go - shoulda traded him and we missed, but now we have to get the trade done as best we can.
