While I think JC is the real deal and loved the pick from the moment it was announced, you don't take JC over Sauce. IMO it's those two are the top two corners in the league, but JC is just slightly below Gardner. I hate the injury prone label, it was 2 random ones. The wrist was just real bad luck. I don't consider that injury prone.

[Yates] Carolina has signed G Michael Jordan

Competition for the XFL guys signed. Let's hope they are better haha. -
Good signing. Back up who's a known person in the locker room. I like the attention online has been getting. Bring in as many as you can and see who sticks.

2023 NFL Draft’s best scheme fits: Bryce Young
PanthersGTI replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
An interesting thought for those who know Xs and Os better than me. How would the Rams adjust their offense to fit Young? It sounds like Brown has a big part in the playbook. -

Steven Smith Sr first round QB breakdown

Laid it all out there. If he has has heard correct...... -
Evero called out Chinn by name as one of the stars on this defense. He will find the place for him to excel, I have faith. Don't let Phil Snow fool you on who Jeremy Chinn is. As far as the defense as a whole, I think a lot hinges on Jackson coming back strong. If I remember correctly the defense in Denver was focused on the secondary being the backbone of the defense.

Steven Smith Sr first round QB breakdown

I agree that nothing is for sure. Just in the context of what Steve Smith is saying he is hearing it sounds like arm or not Young is going to run an offense better, especially when things aren't always clicking. -

Yeah lots of great stuff in this episode. Perception vs reality, Jalen Carter stuff. Feeling more and more confident that Young is the pick. The praise here was high. -
Peter King: Bryce Young inching closer to Carolina
PanthersGTI replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think its going to be Young. Too much talent to pass up, they will protect him with a run game and if the hype is real hopefully he can get the ball out quick otherwise. Between Sanders, Thielen and Hurst they have true weapons for those quick hitters. -
Steven Smith Sr first round QB breakdown

haha damn everyone going in on the co-host and not the topic Or me for calling him Steven haha -
I didn't see a topic on this ( or a post in another thread ) I thought this was pretty insightful as far as what is being said around these pro days and the combine. Youngs processing vs Stroud in rhythm are two points that stuck out to me : Side note : Smitty needs to lose his cohost and bring on James Palmer or someone with more charisma and knowledge. Steve is great but he needs the guy on other side to play off of.

Peter King: Bryce Young inching closer to Carolina
PanthersGTI replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
According to Steve Smith people are viewing Young processing as elite and a level above Stroud. I believe they said Stroud can be like Dak, where he can be amazing when in rhythm but can struggle when not. If teams really are viewing Youngs ability to process and diagnose as head and shoulders above everyone else I think its going to be hard to say no. -

I'm not opposed to stacking this defense to help the rookie QB out. Short fields and low scores probably help a bunch. -
Another draft rumor—. Because, why not
PanthersGTI replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't know why people keep saying AR would sit for a year or two. He wouldn't, he would be the day 1 starter unless he really stunk it up at camp, which I doubt. They would tailor an offensive game plan around him and go at it. IMO the question is would Reich or whoever likes Richardson be okay with opening up the offense and adjusting it as the season goes on to let his QB grow or looking for something a little more "traditional". If they draft him, they are doing so after being impressed with his whiteboard skills in their meeting and under the assumption he can get his footwork worked out through the spring and summer. Not necessarily scary ( to me ) with the coaches we are surrounding him with. -
Young VS Stroud, the greatest Panthers debate ever?
PanthersGTI replied to GOAT's topic in Carolina Panthers
Weather or not you blindly sniffed Jake Delhommes jock strap was the greatest debate. -
I think its a safe bet to say they like both Stroud and Young and it going to come down to the last week or so when Fitt and Reich have the conversation on who they think it should be. Which is awesome, they are taking their time and they have the pick of two great options. Maybe some AR thrown in there is Steven Smith and TD are to be believed.

Chinn confirms he'll be playing more LB (closer to the line)
PanthersGTI replied to B_Eazi's topic in Carolina Panthers
I believe Evero has mentioned Chinn by name was speaking on makings your defense fit the player, so I would imagine that the role they have envisioned for him is not going to shoe horn him into a role he isn't suited for. It won't be "Now he is a 3-4 LB and here is the list of the 3-4 LBs job and he must do them all" -
So basically we have no idea who will be drafted
PanthersGTI replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Richardson for the chaos. -
As you guys said. Its time to put up the numbers now. Seemed like he came on a little at the tail end of the season when Darnold was playing pretty good. Seems to operate well mid/deep. Not a lot of YAC. Another interesting prospect is Preston Williams, I think an injury history but had a pretty good year in Miami I believe.
