One serious thing to consider for all the people who think no one good will want this job. Tepper has been shown to throw the cash around to get you what you need. He did it with Rhule and he did it with Frank. That is a huge bonus when you feel confident you can get your guys because Tepper makes them an offer they can't refuse.

Frank Reich Fired as Panthers HC - Official

This is just trying to justify your position. Wilson was a laughing stock throughout the entire year. A lot of it by his own design. Payton had to lay the ultimatum out to Wilson that he has to change and be willing to be coached his way or he is gone. That job was not taken because Russell Wilson was there. It was taken because Payton knows he can coach. Anyways, fine not Denver then look at Cleveland, The Jags, The Rams, The Browns. All teams with bad histories and generally known to have bad owners ( drafting a QB because a homeless man told you to ) and yet they get the coaches eventually. Fans just don't want it to be true but the question is weather Tepper will pick the right guy, not weather the right guy is going to interview. -

Someone who believes they are a better coach the Frank Reich? Did anyone balk at the Denver job? No, in fact they got a hall of fame coach/ professional douche bag to turn them around. This is a real dumb point, bad owners have gotten good coaches throughout the history of the NFL. -

He will be here for 1 more year at least. They will see what a new staff can get out of him or relegate him to #2 and drop him after the season. -

At least Tepper learned one thing.....if it stinks put it in the trash NOW, don't give it 3 years to see if it will get fresh. -
Man I was so hesitant to get on that train but god damn does it look like Nicole is HEAVILY involved with us getting Bryce. When I found out she was watching Oline drills.....it was over for me completely. It literally broke my fandom.

I think Tepper sold the franchise..... trust me bro

The Athletic - Panthers Indecisiveness

I think the job is too big for Frank. As it is with a lot of coordinators, it doesn't translate. -
Do you watch CJ Stroud and wonder ‘what if’?
PanthersGTI replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Nah, I still believe in Bryce. We just have to fix the team/staff around him. He is getting killed out there and any productions our WRs could produce is stifled by a bad system. I wouldn't be surprised in Young was the top QB on the Texans draft board as well as a few other teams as well. They just hit on the right staff, we got potential there but no spark from the very top. -
I'm hype! Always nice to root for a guy like that and he was electric, so if he is back to form it will be a nice boost.
-
IMO we keep him with an incentive laden contract, but look to bring in/draft a #2 who can be a #1. Easier said then done lol.

Sounds like we will be getting Horn back in 2 weeks ( fingers crossed ) that will be a huge boost to this defense if he can come in and play at least 85%. Could be huge for the back quarter of the season. Its nice to hear people preaching a little patience with a new staff and all the changes that involves. It also doesn't help that ( from my understanding ) with the new practice restrictions and changes to preseason most teams don't really hit their stride until after the first 2-4 games anyways. Compound that with everything being new as well, it was going to be tough. Hopefully we have turned the corner and really start stacking some momentum.

Time to start reeling off some wins, Hoping the team gets a better each week. Rooting hard for them, the season isn't over!
-
Nah, you can't get rid of your only good backup QB. You could easily find yourself in a bad spot.
-
Hopefully we can get Cohen working out of the back field on some RB catches to let WRs get a little deeper.
-
Well.....with all the injuries to the defense it will be nice to see some guys show out to help build up for next year. Not that I'd really know but it looks like Hill is looking like a keeper as CB depth.
-
Pulling for him, if he can bring the spark he had in Chicago we could have a potent weapon on our hands.
-
Hopefully Young comes out with a little chip on his shoulder to prove why he deserved to be #1 over Stroud. Defense is barely holding on, going to need to run the ball and keep Texans offense off the field.

How Many of You Would Actually Want a Trade for a WR
PanthersGTI replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
Depends on who it is + cost + contract If you are able to pry a young #1 WR from a team and can guarantee they will be here for multiple years why not? Cost would be the big concern, you aren't getting a young #1 without paying out the ass. The only scenario I would even think likely is Justin Jefferson from the Vikings after Addison is showing a lot of potential. Pipe dream. -
I too feel Young will come around. I think moving to a more simplified playbook after giving him too much as a rookie as well as have Brown calling plays will hopefully help him play to his strengths and get this offense rolling.
-
It will be interesting, does he do a better job of baiting the D into something by setting it up throughout the game? That seems like something he should/would have picked up in LA. As others have said, tempo hopefully will help and helping to center the offense with a productive run game. I think the fact that they were already tweaking the offense some will mean it will actually be 3 weeks that we are working to get Bryce in a better spot.
-
I really doubt this team is looking to add any more receivers unless it's bottom.of the depth chart/camp bodies. Maybe a returner? Hopkins would be great cheap but I think they like who they brought in. Passes are going everywhere, and they have signed a speed guy, a clutch/gets open guy, a TE/WR hybrid and a RB who can haul in passes. I doubt we have a true #1 anyways. Next year probably, unless TMJ or Mingo show up to be that guy this season.

While I think JC is the real deal and loved the pick from the moment it was announced, you don't take JC over Sauce. IMO it's those two are the top two corners in the league, but JC is just slightly below Gardner. I hate the injury prone label, it was 2 random ones. The wrist was just real bad luck. I don't consider that injury prone.
