BREAKING:Panthers re-sign Chuba Hubbard
PanthersGTI replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
For real. Imagine the bitching here if one goes down and the replacement is some scrub. " Wow Dan Morgan sucks, no RB depth. We could have drafted Brooks last year. He was right there for the taking in the 2nd!" as he balls out on another team. -
BREAKING:Panthers re-sign Chuba Hubbard
PanthersGTI replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I swear this board is always like 4 years off on NFL trends. Defenses got built to defened the deep pass. Mid short passing game and especially the run game are back in. It is how you win. Its run to open the passing game unless you are Mahomes and Reid and they will get back to their RB by commitee when Pacheo is baxk healthy. -
Dianna Russian: several teams interested in Bryce Young

Not talking about how they aquired him. Im talking about why a team may still want him. -
Dianna Russian: several teams interested in Bryce Young
PanthersGTI replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah he is still young enough that a team can look back at their scouting of him and wonder if they can bring out the potential they saw. I still think its real funny that people here are not willing to admit that Bryce Young was going to be drafted in the top 5 picks of the draft last year. -
Trade everyone and fully rebuild..

To be a seller you need a buyer......no one is buying the guys that are basically special teamers or practice squaders. There are others available that don't require giving up draft capital on. We need to keep the guys that can add some value on STs and as backups with some developmental upside and draft better. That is it. -
Its alright, good if all healthy but otherwise thin. The biggest need being QB. I still think you need to give him time for 3 things : 1 : to get better as HC in general, feel out the role, work on proper delegation and balance 2 : to work with Dan Morgan to bring in the players that fit what they want to do and hopefully build out a more robust roster ( which I think they started with. XL, Sanders and probably Brooks should be staples moving forward ) 3: Build the locker room culture. This is a huge part of the NFL and it takes time and the right guys in the locker room to make it happen. Tepper will probably wait to see what year 3 looks like. The same way he did with Rhule.

Too early to tell. Rookie HC, terrible roster. You have to give people time to grow, these things aren't just plug and play.

Are we now actively pulling for David Tepper to fail?
PanthersGTI replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
If you are waiting for Tepper to sell.....you will be waiting a very long time. Our next owner will be Nicole Tepper. Get used to it. -
There are two ways to look at it. He could have been tasked with making Young better OR he could have been tasked to find out if Young is viable. It just a slightly different perspective. Personally I think his career will rest on how he does with the QB he brings in.

What were your expectations for this season?
PanthersGTI replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
That I could view Canales as our coach for the future. So far I am liking it. This team was thin and its only getting worse, so W's and L's is going to be a hard metric to use. It will be interesting to see how this team ( mainly the offense ) looks in December. -
Personally not too bad. I think having a coach I believe can turn this thing around is great. I was only hoping to see improvement offensively. It's a little better then I hope TBH, it seems like Canales and Idzik know how to tailor an offense for the QB. That in turn makes me feel better about them getting an opportunity to bring their guy in at QB ( whenever that is, I'd imagine in the next 2 years ). Defense is just thin and getting thinner, hard to control that. Off loading Burns was the right move. I would imagine that next off season will be focused on fixing the defensive side as much as possible. Which brings me to Dan Morgan. I just got a soft spot for him so I am a little bias in my rooting for him. I think he did a pretty good job all things considered. Draft was solid, not amazing. Free Agency I liked what they did for the most part ( can't remember it all lol ), I don't think we were going to sign any all stars this year but hopefully the role players we got can shine as we add some talent next to them next year. One thing I think we will get from Morgan is more value on tape vs analytics, which I think has really sunk our drafts/FAs over the last few years. Basically I believe we have a good foundation to build on here. Players are in on the coach and he looks like he has the vision and ability to create an identity here and I think Dan Morgan is alright.

What does “game manager” truly mean?
PanthersGTI replied to Gapanthersfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Its a good point. Peyton Manning was the ultimate game manager and also one of the best to ever do it. He orchestrated that offense to perfection. I think the point you are making is the exact point Cam was making last year with the whole Purdy thing. He said there are only 2-3 "game changers" at QB at a time. -
This game I won't play with this team. All of them, need to bring the A game every game.
-
Nah, they were trash last year. There is a reason they went out and spent all that money. The inside of the line was a turnstile and Ikky hit his sophomore slump.
-
50 was popping off the screen for me, especially on the highlights rewatch. I might want a jersey lol dude was man handling people out there.
-
I am with you. I still think if he were able to put it all together it would look good. I just don't think he is mentally strong enough. Hes got no dog in him, just a laid back Cali kid who has always been in positive situations. Not that there is anything wrong with that inherently, you can only face adversary when it presents itself. Its how you respond that matters. I think a big flag pointing to this is the fact that the biggest "adversity" his father could point to was moving from CA to Alabama.

The 2025 QB free agents, who would you sign?
PanthersGTI replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
He is not but on that list I can see them looking at him and thinking they can unlock some potential. -

I could see them taking a look at Wilson. Elite arm talent, experience and young. There is some potential there. -
Heres some good in the ocean of awful....
PanthersGTI replied to Basbear's topic in Carolina Panthers
I really like everything I've seen except defensive line in general and QB play. Excited to see how the team looks over the next few games with Dalton at the helm. -
I don't know the rules but when can Wonnum, Barno and Crumedy suit up?
-
Buckle in and prepare for blast off. 300 Yard 3 TD incoming. Houston, Vegas has a problem!!
-
I want competitive games. I also think some of that score differetial changes when TOP changes and the general demenor of the team changes.
