David Tepper really is me FR. Because if someone put up a sign blasting me, I'd go talk to them and I might come across a little pissed. That's just man poo.

Panthers Select Xavier Legette WR - Pick 32, Round 1
PanthersGTI replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is our Deebo Samuels, love it. -
Someone with more draft knowledge with me can help puzzle this out : Canales said that when he was in Seattle, everyone on the offensice staff + ST were excited about Tyler Lockett. He said they are looking for a guy like that and it sounds like they found him. Who could it be? Who could excite on ST as well?

Anything except QB and maybe Safeties, RB ( if a Gibbs type falls maybe )and OGs ( If they think they can learn to play Center but might require some time ). Talent can be used all over. I do think we should go something other then WR at #33 is possible ( BPA falls that way ). Diontae Johnson addition takes some pressure off and I truly think he can be a #1 WR. Hopefully he can prove me right and we resign him next season. Don't get me wrong one of our top 3 picks needs to be a WR still but there seem to be tons of options. I have a feeling the Michigan CB ( Sanistril? ) is going to be one of our top 3 picks.

Austin Corbett's move to center has seemed "inevitable"
PanthersGTI replied to Carolina Panthers's topic in Carolina Panthers
Those are 2 good points. ideally Corbett works out and the C we take this year can back up guard/C and learn before being thrust in as a rookie and he shines from there. So our focus can solely be on tackle(s) next year depending on how Ekwonu develops. You are also right about one thing, Cade Mays did not have good coaching. So why write him off? Brady Christensen as well, I am excited to see what he can do with coaching that will play him where he is best and not judge him based on arm length. -

It was insane how lost these guys looked like you said. Head spinning everywhere. -

Even if Corbett works out at C, having a long term plan and back up is important. I just don't see how you let a C pass you early in this draft. Hopefully one of the top 3 picks. Years of this, we all know how important it is to have an oline. Cannot win without a good one. You have to always been looking for upgrades and backups who can start when someone goes down. -
According to Legette, Panthers will draft Legette at #33
PanthersGTI replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean Thielen created separation last season and Diontae Johnson 100% creates separation with his route running. So we have 2 guys who can do it. I would think that having a WR who can climb the ladder and fight for the ball while having deep speed would be a great compliment to those two. -
Hey if they think he is BPA....go get him. We need CBs and will definitely have to fill that room next year with a lot of new faces. If ( big If ) Horn stays healthy and this kid is taken and lives up to it, they have also made next year a lot easier. If Horn doesn't stay healthy and this kid is taken and lives up to it, they at least know what kind of player they need to compliment him. As far as Nickle Back goes....I feel like we need good DBs at all levels now, a lot of the game is those short/quick passes within 5-10 yards. Someone who can play well covering close to the line and also have a feeling for where the ball is going is really valuable. Bills and Colts just paid a pretty decent amount to their NBs.

I think I am agreement with most. Just get the players are 33 and 39. Don't out think yourselves. This team needs starters so just go get them. Trying to squeeze 1 more pick in there at the cost of possibly losing on a better player doesn't work for me. At least until you've shown the ability to draft really well in rounds 3-5.

They got a great player. Will he become elite? Time to find out. Doesn't matter to us anymore.

Did Scott Fitterer draft any good players?
PanthersGTI replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah. Bryce Young motherfugers. -
I was wrong lol. Lazard did suck but I thought A Rod was running that joint.

If any of them become available it would be Davis. Lazard is Aaron Rogers guy, so he will stay.

BOLD Prediction: Defense will be Better not Worse
PanthersGTI replied to WUnderhill's topic in Carolina Panthers
Luvu hurts, we may feel that one. Burns didn't do much last year on purpose so hopefully another player in his spot playing 100% will AT LEAST be able to mirror his impact if not improve upon it. I still like Haynes Sr personally, hopefully he is healthy and still has that burst. Robinson will hopefully shore up this run D and let Tuttle shine a little more. -
I was really hoping for Uche for New England. That dude ended up leaving a lot of money of the table to take a 1 year with NE. Bringing in 2 and drafting 1 early makes sense. Will take time for a 2nd round De to fully develop.

Woods is a dawg adding Fuller means our starters are set.
-
I think we got speed in Diontae and ISM. Leggett would be huge with one of our 2nds.
-
I like Burns, think he has the skills to be elite, but it was time to go. He wanted out and we used the money wisely. Mile Sanders may still have something, he was a very good back for the Eagles and unless he fell off the face of the earth, hopefully being healthy and having a competent coaching staff will up his production and him and Hubbard can man the RB spots without spending draft capital.

I would think so. He seems well respected in the building and Canalas has been open about him letting Evero have control of that side of the team. I like that Evero knows exactly what we are going to get and how he will fit too. Run stoppers are always welcome.
