  1. You think he's crying in Nicole Teppers lap right now?
  2. Not going to watch any more but I will say the only thing keeping my fandom "flame" from guttering out is I think Canales is the real deal. My only hope is he can keep the locker room together and get his QB next season, but I am worried being forced to start Bryce will be the snowball that starts the avalanche in the locker room.
  3. Yeah this is where he lost me. I don't see a competitor. I truly believe he has the skills to make it work but the mentality is just too lax. What little he had he got beat out of him last season.
  4. Not great. The defense was not going to pop up with Wilks, Al Holcomb has proven he is not it at D cord. We would have leaned on CMC to keep the offense running and those wheels will/are going to fall off at some point, it probably also would not have been creative. IMO Wilks would just look like the end of Riveras tenure. I like Canales, I think something can be built here. Just gotta give it to end of next season.
  5. Weather he plays the rest of the season or not, I think they will know internally after this game if he is the guy or not. Your QB has to respond, there is enough there to not look like last year. It truly falls all on him now. If it was me : Bryce laugh after another pick and you can stay your ass on the bench, good luck on your next team.
  6. Right around the same time. This is tough, I reset every off season, because its just football and I cant control it. But after this I just......may quit. I dont live in NC anymore, dont really go back but I love this team for some reason. Just bummed.
  7. There was an interview with Tillis posted here a while ago and he broke down how NFL defenses are all built to stop the deep pass now anyways and offenses have to be built to take what they can get, which usually means 5-10 yard passes. It's almost as if these guys are professionals and know what they are talking about.
  8. They really attacked positions of need too. FO is focused!
  9. So just a case of everyone else was worse. LOL. I don't even want a Greg Olsen, can I get a Kris Mangum?
  10. I mean Ian Thomas has made it through what 4 coaching regimes now? He has to be doing something right. This isn't a Bersin situation, where he was the owners neighbor ( talk about meddling ) Edit : or his competition has been that bad ( didn't seem like it this year )
  11. You guys can do that, but I am not judging a rookies performance with the garbage coaching staff we had last year. Football is so fine tuned, you have to be put into a position to succeed no matter how good you are. Same thing we heard about Bryce, the offensive line and our WRs. We did nothing to play to their strengths ( or really even coach IMO ). These guys were all put into a position to fail.
  12. Joe Brady is with the Bills and they just got a look at TMJ. Maybe a potential landing spot for him. Wish the dude turned it on sooner, we might not have needed to draft his replacement in Mingo.
  13. If Horn stays healthy, this defense is going to be a problem.
  14. True. It's been apparent listening to Morgan and Canales that there is a plan and thought process both of them are following. Canales and his offensive staff have been clear about how they want to install the offense. It sounds like it starts with fewer formations and getting a feel of what they do well, then continually building on that. They master those formations and start adding wrinkles ( same play different formation, same formation different play, new #1 read etc.... ). This is where they sound like they are now. If you are working on rolling out a system that way, it makes sense to look at the preseason games 1 and 2 and think that if you can't get the offense you want out there practicing the stuff they have already mastered smoothly you are not accomplishing much according to your plan to install the offense and then you are opening up some starters ( mainly Bryce ) to injury because you have guys running the offense who might not have the level of readiness your starter would. Then you add in having the #1 waiver wire and Dan talks about maximizing using that because of the caliber of player you maybe able to get. The best way to do that is to really evaluate what you have in your 2nd and 3rd string so you can try and bring in someone who will have maximum impact. I think if a few things worked out differently, mostly O line injuries/unavailability and Daltons injury, we would have seen the 1st team in a few series last game.
  15. Alright, Saturday looking interesting! Hoping Tremble is worked in properly with the hamstring and can play the full season.
  16. What a stupid tweet. You could literally do that with every team in the league. They all pass up on good players and make trades that don't work. Working OT to fuel the hate.
  17. Just my opinion : It sounded like he was stressing celebrating and talking poo with your teammates is the right way to go about it, rather then throw the ball or just go something to get a flag thrown.
  18. Okay so point proven. You base it on how you feel. FINE, stop trying to play it off like you got something substantive to say. Its okay to admit your biases, in fact its probably healthy to have a little inner look sometimes. You a joke man, get called out and then act like everyone else is an asshole.
  19. My boy....that is not what you said. You said you had stats to PROVE he will be bad this year. I am waiting to see what you can provide. It seems like you are confusing your opinion with facts....but that's what we've been saying all along. You don't like him/the pick so you will go out of your way to trash it with really nothing to back you up. If you can show me a stat correlating offseason work outs and bulking up with winning % ( or better yet just even better QB stats ) I am all for it and will hear you out.
