If I was to attempt to read the tea leaves....I would suspect that Wilks not moving on from Holcomb to bring in someone with the Fangio 2 shell scheme played a big role. If they had the in depth discussion as a committee we are lead to believe I think at some point they zeroed in on this scheme currently being the most successful in the NFL and most adept at stopping modern offenses.

Shaq is probably going to stay. I'd imagine on a small extension like others have said. He is above average and at points can border on great. He is a/the leader on the defense and we are thin there anyways. I feel like you do what you can to keep him, don't start stripping good parts of our team.

I am about half way through the AR video and I'm liking what I hear. So far it sounds like footwork is the biggest issue. If Reich can help him fix that I like what I see. Seems to move around in the pocket well, goes through some reads. Kinda of reminds me of Cam a little, hot and cold on the fundamentals but even off his back foot/toes his arm can get the ball there. On that note footwork and consistency in throwing platform seem to be a BIG deal, so if he can't get that fixed it is going to lead to a lot of frustration. Still got 10 minutes left.

Lets go! Just need to fill out the defensive side. I assume the OC is locked up but just waiting for the right time to make it official.

Corral has 2 things going for him : That crazy quick release. Its noticeable to everyone. He seems to have some of that "It" factor or attitude to stay competitive. Reich has something to work with but he can't put all his eggs in that basket.

It's kinda of funny. He said what the players need to go is 1 - Get better everyday 2- Compete and help each other 3 - Compete against the competition This is basically what Rhule was saying ( get 1% better everyday, we will compete compete compete ) but it's all about actually being able to realize it.

I don't really get it. We could only interview him through Zoom until like yesterday. So we gave him the opportunity and he didn't nail it? What are they supposed to do, let other potential candidates sign elsewhere and HOPE that all of a sudden he does a complete 180 from his last meeting? If he didn't get it based on the interview he would have presumably had this week sometime we would probably have ended up with Wilks because Reich was going to get signed. I swear people can't think outside of their emotions.

I really like the sound of this. Reminds me a little of what Dan Campbell is doing in Detriot. Lets just get the guys who can coach in. I don't necessarily need to have worked with them before. I like that ownership is looking to hire the best and Reich seems more then open to not just hiring people he has been around.

IMO if anyone it will be Jacoby Brissett or we roll with Darnold as the vet and I wouldn't be too mad either way.

He seemed to get the most out of Wentz. I don't know if he was the one who wanted to draft him or not. I think we go in with Darnold, Corrall and a rookie and let them fight it out. Maybe Replace Darnold with Brissett.

Those are much better names then Roman IMO. From what I understand with Roman is the run game is good but he can't develop a passing game ( google RG3 remarks regarding this ). Staley would be interesting if he learned a lot from Ben Johnson while there.

I think the idea is that all the data is coming during the game anyways. While the defense is on the field they get to go over what is or isn't working. I think the difference maybe that some OC can actively adjust between series and some probably need the break at halftime to readjust the calls they want. So no one comes into the locker room at halftime and starts talking about it with the QB, the changes are made through playcalls. If that makes sense.

This was the guy I wanted after Johnson, but the more I learn it may be an even better fit. He has been around some of the best in terms of building the right chemistry too. Reid and Daboll both have their teams heart. Like someone else mentioned, Reid and Daboll also have the best offenses over the last few years. Get him in here Tepper!

1/24 I think they interview Kafka Sunday and then talk it over/hammer out the details and get the offer signed Monday night/Tuesday morning.

Don't care about soccer or the issues with Rock Hill. As far as the Panthers go I think its been hit and miss. Miss : Keeping Marty Hurney Hiring Rhule Hit : Hiring Fitt Willing to pay Admits to learning from mistakes made early on It really comes down to how this next HC search plays out. I am very worried that he is honed in on Payton like he was with Rhule, not that they are the same, but I hope there are serious discussions on who is the next HC and not just a rubber stamp on Payton after the 1st meeting.
