  1. When Deshaun again fully commits to being a member of tge Texans. Until that happens, nothing is for certain.
  2. Personally, looking at Miami, I feel that pick 3 is worth (2) 1st as that is what it would take to move to 3 for a QB. If Miami trades pick 3, then I think they only include one more 1st. If they kept 3 and traded 18 instead, then I think they need to add that 3rd first rounder and a 2nd rounder.
  3. Yes, there was so much to Tuas rookie season that many don't realize. Gailey was hired specifically for a Fitz offense. The weapons weren't good to start with either, but due to injury Tua only played 2 games with the starting weapons before injuries took all of them out and had Mack Hollins as his number 1 guy, yikes!
  4. Not sure about historical, but Miami has no playoff wins since 2000, Jets none since 2010. Panthers have had more recent success
  5. Though it was reported he was benched twice, it was actually once. He was pulled from their game against the Broncos due to a thumb injury suffered from contact to a helmet. He missed their next game against the lowly Jets with his thumb wrapped. You would want your rookie playing the Jets to build confidence if healthy. Fitz did not bail them out, and in fact threw a game sealing interception late in the endzone against Denver. The other game he was pulled was the Raider game. This game was 16-13 game when he was pulled. There were other circumstances that figured into this situation. This is the only game Fitz "bailed" them out, and it was mostly luck.
  6. "Two sacks in seven games" It looks like he entered 7 games, but only played 91 snaps? If so, that is roughly 1.5 games if playing full time.
  7. If I was them, McCarron would actually be my 4th option. 1 = Watson after he changes his mind 2 = Start a QB received in a Watson trade 3 = Start a QB drafted with a pick acquired in Watson trade If I traded Watson, received no QB back in the deal, and say I had pick 8 and wasn't sold on any QB left on the board, go to option 4 4 = Start McCarron in a tank season. Trade back from 8 to gain more draft assets to combine with assets in Watson trade. Tank out the season and have the top pick in 2022 to pick Rattler, Howell, or Shough instead of settling at 8 this year.
  8. 1 - true 2 - not determined 3 - true 4 - maybe, maybe not 5 - probably not Stay tuned, the ending is to be determined. How far will Deshaun take it is the question?
  9. Exactly! When you are talking Jaguars, Jets, Bengals, you are talking 4 wins against the 3 worst teams in the league.
  10. Okay, everybody keeps talking about Miami being so ready to compete because they missed the playoffs by one game. Have any of you ever looked at their schedule? Let's look at their 10 wins! Jaguars Jets Jets - again Bengals - without Burrow Chargers - mid season, only had 2 wins at time Raiders - fluke hail marry by Fitz while getting head ripped off Patriots 49ers - this game took place the week after 49ers had all of those injuries, were playing a team of backups, and adjusting rotations on the fly. Cardinals - only game Tua had all of his starting weapons, he looked very good even though his starting weapons were below average at best. Rams - best win, only win against a team over .500.....Rams played terrible in first half, Miami blocked punt for TD, sack/fumble/return for TD, another sack/fumble for great field position. Rams almost came back in 2nd half.
  11. We are talking this year, can't change the past. I don't see Jameis signing a 1 yr $1.1m again. I want that guy nowhere near this team
  12. Jameis is the last QB I want on this team, would rather keep Teddy, and that says a lot.
  13. While this could be their thinking, this is how I would attack it. Houston is looking at a few years to be able to compete. They need a lot of pieces, but have no 1st or 2nd round pick this year. I use the 8th pick to trade back to a team wanting a QB. Think Patriots at 15, Washington at 19, Chicago at 20....any of these trade downs you can add a 2nd this year, and a 1st next year for a team coming for a QB. Now, you have a 1st and 2nd this year you didn't have originally. You also have your own 1st, the Carolina 1st (Watson trade), and a 1st from the trade down, giving them (3) 1st next year, plus all other picks rounds 2-7. I use the new 1st, 2nd, and all other picks this year to draft BPA to fill a few roster holes, there are many to fill. Go into next year letting Teddy and that terrible roster tank it out for the top pick. With the top pick, select your QB (Rattler, Howell, or Shough) of the future. Then you have 2 more 1st and all of your other picks next year. You may even be able to use those other (2) 1st to maybe trade back a couple spots and add more picks next year.
  14. Next 3 drafts? If you mean by tradi g the next (3) 1st rounders, then yes you can still build in rounds 2-7 and we have a good amount of cap space next year in free agency. The Rams have not had a 1st round pick since selecting Goff 5 years ago, that is a really good team that has also played in a super bowl in that span.
  15. They have those QB's, but does Houston like either of those guys? Are either of those teams willing to be as aggressive as the Panthers? Is Houston willing to trade within the AFC, or do they prefer to an NFC team?
  16. I have Howell/Wilson really really close, and could see Howell edging him out due to Wilson's previous shoulder injury. Howell and Shough above Fields or Lance. Rattler above all of them except for Lawrence.
  17. If we don't land Watson, I would almost rather wait until next year. I think Rattler is better than any QB in this draft except Lawrence, and I believe Howell/Shough are as good as any except Lawrence. My biggest fear is in waiting would be that we win to many games to have another top 10 pick.
  18. This guy literally throws trades against the wall every day. Houston - I don't see them trading their top 5 QB Watson in the division at all. Jacksonville - I don't see them bailing divisional rival Houston out of their situation by trading Lawrence and his rookie contract, plus other assets to pay Watson that much money when they have so many needs.
  19. (3) 1st for Watson, sign me up! (3) 1st for Wilson, no Thanks! Wilson is already 32, is not the biggest QB, and has taken a crazy amount of hits throughout his career. To be honest, last year he started off like an MVP candidate, then fell off in the 2nd half of the season. I have concerns that he want play at top level much longer.
  20. I was going to add that to my response, but we would need a discount as Fuller will miss the start of the season.
  21. Can the Patriots tag Joe Thuney? If so, what would be his salary? Teddy for Thuney
  22. I guess that makes sense, I figured they would re-sign Fuller. Then again, Fuller and Watson have a good friendship, so they may move on.
  23. I think the Patriots would have real interest, and I have been saying this for a while now. Bill wanted him last year, not that expensive for a starter, if it doesn't work out he could be cut after season, and Teddy fits their offensive scheme.
  24. Robbie Anderson? That would surprise me. Why would they have interest in him at this point with only one year on his contract?
  25. I really really hope not! Maybe it is a 3-team trade with Jimmy G. going to Houston, Teddy to San Fran, Watson here? The Texans new GM Cesario was with the Patriots and may like Jimmy G.
