BREAKING NEWS Deshaun Watson now willing to be traded to CAROLINA
TheProcess replied to Woot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I will say this, IF we trade for Watson there are two potential outcomes, and I see both as a positive. This of course assuming we make sure that the legal stuff is taken care of first. 1 - Panthers immediately have the best QB in the NFCS and it isn't close. This immediately puts us at the top of tge division and into the playoffs yearly. 2 - Panthers immediately have the best QB in the NFCS and it isn't close. Therefore Tepper will expect an immediate winner as mentioned in scenario one. Panthers fall short of this in 2022 finally opening Teppers eyes that Rhule is horrible, and fires him. Panthers having a legit QB attracts a good coach finally. We see a competent 2023 team and build from there. -

Tyler Smith and Jamaree Salyer would be guards, not tackles. Oline: Christensen, Smith, Linderbaum, Salyer, Moton Jermaine Johnson replaces the need to spend on Reddick. Johnson is not only a pass rusher as he ranked very good at setting the edge against the run. Wyatt adds much needed interior Dline play. Hopefully Brown steps up and we have a solid duo. Joseph is a rangy FS that allows Chinn to move to a hybrid SS role. Watson and Moore both bring potential to the receiver room. Watson is a fast big bodied receiver while Moore is very quick and brings a lot of RAC yardage. Ferguson teams with Tremble to form a nice young TE duo. Strong and White add to Hubbard in the RB room, and allows for a CMC to slot move. Araiza brings an instant upgrade to our punt team. Big leg that helps in field position battle.

Have no doubt Zion could become a very good center, but the kid is already a very good left guard, my favorite guard in the draft. As for Center, Linderbaum is the obvious #1 target with Zach Tom from Wake Forest as my sleeper pick. Talk about sleeper pick and a kid you don't hear about, look at Tyler Smith from Tulsa. He plays LT and has all the tools, just needs to work on technique which Campen should be able to do. Smith has a chance to be a good LT, but no doubt he could step in on day one as a very good guard with potential to become dominant. Nastiest blocker in the draft.

I would easily take Flores over Rhule any day, because Rhule sucks that bad. However, I'm not going to act like he would be a homerun replacement either. There were several HC hired this offseason that I would rather have than Flores as a replacement for Rhule if only Tepper made it happen.

Is the NFL priming us to have new minority owners?

You have to also wonder why Flores hired a law firm with zero minority employees? -

First off, NFL owners would have to give a 3/4 vote to vote Ross out of Miami. That is 24 of 32 yes and 8 of 32 no, meaning Ross just needs 9 no votes to remain. Dolphins, Giants, Texans, and Broncos all named by Flores will give Ross 4 of the 9 needed to stay right off. Secondly, even if Ross is forced out it won't be to a minority as there is already a guy named Bruce Beal Jr. that is lined up as the next owner of the Dolphins. The NFL and its owners have already approved it and the paperwork was completed in 2016. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-approves-succession-plan-for-dolphins-owner-stephen-ross/amp/&ved=2ahUKEwiqp4j9k4D2AhXJSt8KHXP7C3sQFnoECB0QAQ&usg=AOvVaw1-YZ-vCZpiom_fEE2TkhiX -
Offseason finally here. Let's get down to business.
TheProcess replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Again, just saying check in on him, never know until you ask. Guy is far from a cast off, he is a legit starting LT in the NFL. Dillard is still on his rookie deal as 2022 will be his 4th year. Philly will have to eventually (maybe not this year) make a decision, pay 3 tackles starting money, lose Dillard for nothing in free agency, or make a trade. I would love to draft young Oline talent as well, but have zero faith in Rhule to do so. -

Yep I remember that, but that was during the season at the trade deadline in which Dillard was playing due to injuries. Maybe things change for them in the offseason and maybe not. I would call to check at least -
Good response by King, and we all know that Sam Mills should 100% be in the HOF. Miami fans indeed have a valid complaint about Zach Thomas not getting in, but that complaint should not involve Sam Mills name. If you wanna bring up LeRoy Butler or half of the names this year thats fine, but not Sam Mills.

Eagles signed Jordan Mailata to a contract extension and they have Lane Johnson. I would call about Andre Dillard who played well last year when Mailata was injured. In 340 pass protection snaps he gave up only one sack. Might be a target if the price is right -
How far would the Stafford led Panthers have gone?
TheProcess replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Panthers ceiling with Stafford is probably first round exit. Not sure we hit that ceiling though. We should be saying that he may have saved Rhule's job, but well..... -

Agreed, but those blind mice bought Bengal colored glasses. 3rd down, yes that first holding call on the LB was a bad call, should have been 4th down. Next play you had the dual penalty with holding on the Rams and the personal foul on the Bengals. Not arguing either call, but if there were an argument it would be the holding against the Rams. Exact same block by both teams all day with no calls. Either way, offsetting penalties, replay the down, and let's say its still 4th down if the first call above wasn't made. Next play that was 100% pass interference on Eli Apple, and there is no question about it. So, 4th down or 1st down from the first call, the Apple play is still Pass Interference and 1st down on the 1 yard line. Same situation we had anyway. Now let's talk about the 75 yard TD to Higgins, terrible missed call on Higgins. He not only pulled Ramsey's face mask, he also shoved Ramsey out of the play. Clearly offensive pass interference and face mask with a no call. Take that away and the Rams win with or without that last TD. Bad no call on Higgins didn't give the Rams any chance as it was a TD on that play. Bad call against the Bengals moved the ball half the distance, but the Bengals still had chances to make a stop unlike the Rams. Bell shouldn't have committed the personal foul, thats the Bengal players fault, could have moved the ball back 10 yards on the Rams holding. Nobody made Apple commit an obvious pass interference to put the ball at the 1 yard line. Yet still the Bengals had an opportunity to make a stand at the 1 yard line, an opportunity the Rams didn't have on the long TD -

This ^^^^ QB's can definitely elevate a team, but no QB in the history of the game has won a Super Bowl by himself -

Smh....we really have people on here acting like the refs won that game for the Rams? Funny how end of the game situation makes people forget what happened earlier in the game. -
Again, congrats to Sam Mills, well deserved! Looking at your list it is crazy to me that another finalist LB, Zach Thomas didn't get in over several of them
-
Very informative response
-
Zach Tom would be playing Center where he is very good.
-
Bryce Young will receive a lot of hype, but you are very correct about him being undersized. Playing behind that Oline at Bama and being surrounded by elite playmakers hides this issue. Having said that, there are some really good QB prospects potentially coming out next year. This current draft is not the year to look for a QB unless you are looking day 3 with a guy like Cole Kelly or Aqeel Glass hoping to develop them down the road.
-
I 1000% agree
-
Yep, me too

Arm was weaker than expected, and I wssn't expecting much. Some team may will take a chance day 3, hope its not the Panthers.
