Correct on Jimmy.....Defense will lose a little, trading Buckner didn't work out either.....our Defense is young, had new coaches, and had no rookie camp or pre-season. This offseason and camps should really help..... I think our weapons are better if we can keep Samuel

BPA.... Best post award
-
Look how many games we lost last year by one possession, dump off Teddy could never get us that game winning drive. Stafford? He has 38 career game winning drives, while playing for a terrible organization not set up to be in position for wins. Those 38 games rank 2nd amongst current NFL QB's, only trailing Brees.
-
Me too! Been saying it for a month. Get Stafford Trade back a few spots in the first, get another 2nd... Draft Oline and secondary
-
Like I said in the other thread, and this reporter hinted at, never trust anything that Armando Salguero reports
-
He is a nobody who is rarely right. A beat reporter in Miami who is nothing but negative towards Miami. The day the news broke about Watson and Miami was the first team mentioned, he started spouting Miami didn't need Watson, while also throwing Tua under the bus. The guy supported Adam Gase, and hated the hiring of Flores
-
Trade down in the 1st, pick up a 2nd this year and next. Use the new 1st on Slater/Darrisaw, use both 2nds from the trade for Stafford Would still have our 2nd
-
Tgey have a really good center....Ragnow
-
Just a question, but how would the Saints be able to get him when they are already 100 million over cap
-
Never said he would for sure. My original post was stating to not put to much into tge article based on it being from Armando Salguero. Then I simply questioned why Watson would move on from a terrible franchise, and want to go to a worse ran franchise. I also listed out many reasons that would seem to make Miami a better fit. As for their coach, yeah he looks the part but is unproven. Coachong is only part of it, the front office has to be competent as well
-
Stafford probably has another 5-6 years in him. We have McCaffrey signed for 5 years. We also have weapons for Stafford on the outside. We can use picks to build our line and secondary. The rest of the defense is young. Saints in cap hell, Brees retiring. Falcons in bad cap, Ryan about done. Bucs can't keep everybody, several older guys nearing the end including Brady. Seems to set up for a nice little run

The Texans have a lot more to lose. The longer it drags out, the more negative PR they receive. Watson could lose his signing bonus, and make up tge difference not paying income tax in Florida compared to the horrendous amounts he would pay on New York. Oh, and this discussion was about why Watson would prefer the Jets over Miami, not who the team gets a better offer from. I made many points supporting why Miami is better. Armando is an idiot
-
"Texans say we will only accept the Jets offer" Watson counters with, fine, then you can play the season without me, and nothing to sell your fan base on since Miami owns your picks
-
Armando Salguero is a clueless moron. He has been against Watson to Miami since the story broke. The Jets may be the only team in the league that has been more incompetent than the Texans. Miami is a legit team ready to contend. Watson makes them a real threat. The Jets are not close to being good, rather on a threat. Miami has no income taxes. The Jets are in income tax hell. Miami has a Coach and GM that have already shown to be competent. The Jets have a Coach with potential, but that coach or the GM have not proven anything yet. Miami has the advantage of better weather year round. I am trying to figure who in their right mind would pick the Jets over Miami? Unless Armando is a reporter pushing an agenda.
-
Also, everybody take this report with a grain of salt. Armando Salguero is not very reliable in his reporting of the Dolphins. The first day of a reported potential Miami interest he wrote an article of how Miami doesn't need to waste picks on Watson.
-
Maybe, but he hasn't proven anything yet. It also takes more than a Coach, the front office is as bad as Houston
-
I agree I cannot take Teddy another year, and would love to have Stafford. However, I would be thrilled with Spencer Rattler next year
-
So, he leaves the franchise tied as the worst franchise in the NFL, and goes to the other franchise tied as the worst. Poor guy
-
Lot of trading around. I went off of our new GM's press conference that he wants to build QB, Oline, and Dline first. I went OL with Slater, Humphrey, and Cleveland (all could start) to add to Moton. I also went DL by adding Barmore next to Brown, forming a potentially great pairing. YGM, Barmore, Brown, Burns The awful looking trade at the bottom, that was actually me using those (2) 3rd round picks to land Matthew Stafford. I had to just grab a pick because players aren't available. In the secondary I added Campbell, Holland, and Hufanga. This would be an unreal situation, all 3 could start. Holland is listed as a CB, but he is a safety that boots Boston out. Holland also is a punt/kick returner.

Fox analyst says he heard that Watson has interest in Panthers!
TheProcess replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
Exactly! The Texans have their backs against the wall here. If they refuse to work with DW4, they stand to lose the most. Their 1st and 2nd round picks belong to Miami. They have no cap space. Looking at these two facts, they cannot really improve their team at this point. Watson not playing, and no way to improve and that team is a complete dumpster fire. Trading Watson even getting a little less than desired in the trade, gives them so much more in other areas. They can actually have draft picks to start a rebuild, including a chance to draft their next QB. Jersey sales from a rookie QB will far outperform sales of a QB that will eventually be out. No lingering drama, move on to the next chapter with your new GM, and hope he can build something like you hired him to do. Let him start drafting talent while some salary clears the books. Let your new GM start over and build a foundation for long term success. -
How Many Prime Time Games do the Panthers Get with Deshaun Watson?
TheProcess replied to Seltzer's topic in Carolina Panthers
Prime time games, media spotlight, jersey sales, other merchandise sales. Lots of good stuff results from having a superstar player. -
Quick, somebody make a video of Teddy coming off the top rope taking tripleH out. Send to Campbell and tell him we need Stafford and the 7th pick for Teddy.....lol
-
Brought this up several times over the last month. Stafford would be great here. Stafford at 32 has a good 5 years left in him. McCaffrey is signed for 5 more years. Please give me a 5 year window with Stafford and CMC during a period where the Saints are in cap hell and losing Brees. Falcons are in bad cap situation, Ryan on his way out, and just dysfunctional right now. Brady, Gronk, Suh, and several others are on the way out in Tampa. You have have 5 years to find a way to draft your future QB after Stafford. Stafford with CMC, DJ, Anderson, and maybe Samuel would be lethal. All of those big plays Teddy missed, yeah that problem gone. Once the big plays start flying, the underneath stuff becomes wide open for the YAC yards. Get Stafford, trade down in the first round getting another 2nd round pick. Make sure to address LT and Center in the draft. Trade Teddy wherever you can. Patriots wanted him last offseason, maybe they still do? Bill likes Teddy. Teddy to Patriots for Joe Thuney if possible. Having Thuney between two rookies at LT and Center would be great.
