  1. 1a - Shane Steichen 1b - Ben Johnson Slightly Steichen because I like what he's done with Herbert and Hurts, like that he also has experience as a defensive assistant, and I think he brings Brian Johnson with him as OC and has connections to fill out a strong staff
  2. Damn, I thought everybody knew to click on the pic from the original post to enlarge and see that offense and defense was listed.
  3. Damn I know Tyreek Hill is short, but to look over him like that is crazy
  4. They could trade the pick or pick another QB and trade Fields. I'm just suggesting as a potential option. That team is in full rebuild, and if they like one of the draftable QB's they may feel they can draft that QB to reset the rookie clock on their QB, which would give them more years with more salary cap flexibility to add more pieces for the rebuild. They would also get assets from trading Fields. As you mentioned, I lean to them not trading Fields, but things change when teams start scouting, so nothing is off the table
  5. If you think Hurts played good last year thats on you.
  6. Or call Chicago to see if they are looking to draft QB at #1 and trade Fields. I think Fields throws better than Hurts, and is just as athletic. If Steichen can help Fields in the areas he helped Hurts, watch out. Steichen/Hurts is successful, I think Steichen/Fields would be too
  7. Steichen and Johnson are my two favorite candidates. You asked about Steichen. Steichen started his coaching career as a defensive assistant, has at least some background on that side of the ball. He was then with the Chargers when Herbert came i to the league and received praise for his work with starting Herbert's career. He then moved to Philly and took on a lost offense with a QB in Hurts that looked like 3rd string and turned Hurts and that offense into what you see today. There are a few assistants on his offensive staff in Philly that would be good candidates to come with him, such as Brian Johnson who is considered a very good young football mind.
  8. I think if hiring Steichen or Johnson it would be very beneficial to have a guy like Caldwell on staff
  9. Yep and two straight years with injuries and his play style I would stay far away
  10. Wait until he wins a completely meaningless game against tge Saints this Sunday
  11. OL Coach for sure and I was only using Bisaccia as an example of a vet coach that could be acoordinator/associate HC. Vic Fangio would be another "example"
  12. I'm okay with those guys as well. I would hope to add a DC or Special Teams guy with experience who may be able to operate as an assistant HC type guy. Just for example Rich Bisaccia as special teams/assistant HC
  13. I'm good with either one and couldn't pick without knowing what kind of staff each could build. With either of these guys I would need to see some veteran presence on the staff.
  14. None of that stuff matters to me at all, so with or without it I don't want him as HC moving forward
  15. This is really bad from our D today so far. Terrible offense with a QB that isn't even top 50 in the league and we have no answer. If this continues then this game alone should eliminate Wilks as a candidate
  16. 100% and easily the best comment on this site today We are the Panthers not the Smurfs
  17. Bryce Young is the only QB I like as a top ten pick, but I'm still on-board taking a shot at QB if the scouting department and new staff like one available. If its not a QB and Anderson, Carter, Murphy are off the board, I'm looking at Bryan Breese next to Brown or Kelee Ringo to pair with Horn on rookie deals at an expensive position. Cover the backend to let that pass rush eat. Trade back if none of these. Quentin Johnson, Jordan Addison, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Bijan Robinson, Jahmyr Gibbs, Michael Mayer, Trenton Simpson, Noah Sewell, Brian Branch, Tyree Wilson, Isaiah Foskey, Jared Verse are players I like in a trade back situation.
  18. Need to keep an eye on the Chicago offense for more reasons than just Fields. It's obvious the Bears don't have a good oline or much on the way of playmakers. However that team has shown lots of improvement as this year has gone on, especially the last 3 games. If this trend continues then the Panthers might want to at least interview their OC Luke Getsy for HC
