Boston Globe says Watson should remain with Texans.
TheProcess replied to SizzleBuzz's topic in Carolina Panthers
Boston globe? Thats interesting, I bet they weren't in favor of consequences for Robert Kraft after his visit to Florida. Boston (New England) probably hoping teams like Carolina, Miami, Jets use their top 10 picks this year, then the Patriots can enter Watson trade talks on a more level negotiating field. -
The problem is getting Cincy to make the trade. They need Sewell to protect Burrow. I have also read where Burrow wants Jamarr Chase to team back up with. Not to mention they rarely trade picks. I do worry about the Jets trading Darnold and taking QB, or trading back with a team wanting QB. Miami could trade back. Atlanta I would still not rule out taking QB or trading back. Philly, who knows at this point. I do agree that Detroit goes not pick QB. It really is wild.
-
I agree, his processing, decision making, and accuracy with ball placement make him a very good prospect. He isn’t a standing target, but also isn't blessed with great athleticism. We would need to build a good Oline, and that extra pick could help with that. I think Mac would be good in the Joe Brady system
-
I know the draft pick trade chart doesn't always tell the story, but for Miami to move from 18 to 8 is listed as 500 points, which is the same as our 2nd round pick value. I don't think you can get Tua for that, especially since trading for a QB usually cost more. If we added our 3rd round pick worth 225 points, that gets Miami a total of 725 points to move Tua, that is equal to about pick 25 of the first round. So, you are looking at something like picks 8 and 73 to get Tua and 18

100% was about to post this. Tua in the Brady offense would explode.
-
Monrowed laid out a potential scenario about 5-6 post below your post. Lawyers have their ways.
-
Exactly! Anybody who claims to know fir certain that Watson is innocent or guilty is setting themselves up to possibly look foolish. Let it play out.
-
I didn't paint anything, I simply asked you a few questions that you cannot 100% answer, but try to twist it into me making claims. Watson is remaining quite, and has not disputed anything since Tuesday. Maybe his attorney advised him to stay quite? Maybe he doesn't even have a dispute as you suggest? However, you don't 100% know this until he speaks or goes on trial now do you? AGAIN, let it all play out before jumping to conclusions. To think that it is impossible for anybody to make up any type of story and get people to believe it is actually ridiculous. I mean we have Qanon followers still floating around.
-
It only takes one. What do you not get? I have never said innocent or guilty. I have never said the women are lying, or that they aren't lying. I have simply stated that until it plays out with facts in court, that we do not know and that anything is possible. Presuming guilt or innocence without it playing out is dangerous. The only side I am on is justice, and that will come soon enough. If Watson is guilty, he should face consequences. If he is innocent, those women should face consequences. If anybody is behind this, that person should face consequences. What is so hard about waiting for all of the facts?
-
Whatever dude. You can name call like a little kid all you want. The FACT is that you nor any of us on this message board know for 100% certainty that he is guilty or innocent. I will say this AGAIN! It doesn't look good for Watson, but we have to let it play out with facts before jumping to conclusions. These women haven't even appeared in court yet. Some or most could back out before then. Let it play out, not hard.
-
Yes, it is possible. Never say never until you have the facts and know 100% Look, I am not defending Watson here, I am defending the process to give both sides their day in court. I hope the guilty party faces many consequences, whichever side it may be.
-
Nobody mentioned it starting a year ago. But 2 months is a long time to track down the therapists he has been to. We also haven't seen factual evidence that he even went to all of them. Do you know for a fact that he visited with each of them? Can you 100% say that they weren't approached about a payday? The answer is none of us can. None of us know this to be factual because it hasn't played out in court yet. We have heard accusations, we have no proof. I want justice to whomever deserves it.
-
Yes, think it through! At the same time let the situation play out before declaring innocent or guilty. Geez....its not hard to be patient and not claim that you already 100% know the outcome
-
False! With 2 months since Deshaun asked out, there has been plenty of time to find 22 (or more) payday hungry women. Until we have factual evidence there is nothing 100% and to think otherwise is based off of an opinion. It doesn't look good from a distance, but forming a 100% opinion of guilt based solely on accusations alone just isn't smart. It would also not be smart to presume him innocent. We do not know! It's a good talking point, but nobody should have a 100% opinion either way at this point. Continue to follow the situation, and let it play out.

Are they? Maybe they are, maybe they are not. Thats the issue, none of us really know at this point. It certainly isn't out of the question, just as it certainly isn't out of the question that they are being truthful.

Your 2021 NFL Draft Trading Down Idea !?
TheProcess replied to Leotiger's topic in Carolina Panthers
There would lots of good talent left, you can draft a Slater for LT or a Chase as WR on a rookie deal. You would have Surtain, Farley, or Horn on the board at CB. You attempt to move back and gather more picks. This draft is very deep with talent. If no trading partner you take highest player on your board. -
I compare Trask to Jake Frohmm who went later than expected last year.

This is one point of view that makes some sense. Let's look at another point of view too. To be clear, I am not taking sides at this point, just looking at all points of view. I prefer the truth and justice to prevail, no matter which way it goes. This will be long, but has to be. What would the Texans have to gain by setting Watson up without receiving compensation first? 1 - Cover up to make people ask this exact question deferring the possibility that they would set this up. The attorney would advise this as it would seem more "fishy" to trade him then suddenly charges come out. 2 - Ego becomes more important than a few picks. Watson wants traded, Texans don't want to trade. They would rather boost their ego to the public, and get a lesser trade package than "lose" the standoff. Make Deshaun look bad, and themselves a victim to rationalize the eventual trade. 3 - Reputation and power also becomes more important than a few picks/players. Deshaun has called McNair and the Texans out as dishonest and going against their word. Accusations from a player of Watsons caliber could damage a owner/teams reputation around the league, and hurt the chances for future free agent signings. The ability to sign established free agents could hurt way beyond a few unknown draft picks. How do these rich and powerful people counter a person who raises character concerns? They attempt to tear down their character on a bigger scale to deflect the attention from themselves. It happens daily in our pathetic government, and happens all around the world with the "elite" rich and poweful. They are rich, powerful, and entitled, how dare somebody go against them! Look at what the Texans have already done. They had no intentions of hiring or even interviewing a black head coach. All of this started with Deshaun, the media and fans started questioning why the Texans were avoiding minority candidates. Then all of a sudden they interview 3 or 4 black head coaching candidates. They hired David Culley, and backed it up hiring Lovie Smith as defensive coordinator. They changed perception in an attempt to save reputation. Why not do it again? 4 - Money is also a driving factor. The Texans stand to lose money by trading Watson. They would have to pay a chunk of his money which would also go against their cap. If the NFL were to award them a void of his contract, they would owe nothing going forward, and be free of his cap hit. Money that could be used to add those free agents I spoke about. A rich and powerful man not paying a player who doesn't play for him, team having that money/cap space for free agents, free agents who would now be less skeptical of the teams front office integrity, all while being able to pump his chest out after winning the Ego battle is more than enough reason to turn from a few draft picks. Having said all of that, none of us really know what did or did not happen. We should all hope that the truth prevails, no matter what that truth is. If he is guilty, he should face every consequence. If he is innocent, then each woman should face consequences of false allegations. If it ever comes out that McNair or anybody else is behind this, that person should face consequences.
-
Well, he has the money and now has a home in Florida. Make it happen.....lol
-
You trade up to pick 3, and get either Wilson or Fields. You carry on as that will be your QB of the future. If Watson is found guilty, no question you stay on course with your rookie QB. If he is found innocent, you check on the asking price. If the price is reasonable (would include rookie QB), then make the move. If the price is ridiculous, you stay course with rookie.
-
If he was available at the end of round 4, I am trading up to make sure I get him. Height isn't ideal, but that arm length is

Or Elijah Moore

Good question. I know they probably still need weapons, they had nothing but Parker who is always hurt
