Top 4 QB's were gone, it was a no brainer to grab Carter. Finished the Dline with Ika. Carter, Ika, Brown would be a very formidable Dline for a 3-4 defense. Jones has the skills needed to be very good in zone coverage and adequate in man. Mayer and Bigsby are potential studs on offense. Wicks is very talented if this really good coaching staff can get it out of him. Haener is probably cheaper depth, but I also like his potential.

Absolutely not!!! Too many picks to pay too much money for a player that has missed 1/3 of his teams games the last 2 years with a playing style that will invite more injuries. Add in the Panthers luck, and this probably turns disastrous. Use the picks to go get your QB in the draft. A rookie scale QB allows you to use that Lamar money to fill other holes in free agency.

He even graded out as their worst starter. When he was hurt and Jones played LG in his absence the line was better. Eichenberg was grading out in the low 30's consistently while Jones was in the low 60's. He has terrible feet/footwork, leans too much, and gets overpowered. Maybe a new line coach will help him
-
Good class no doubt, but Eichenberg has been horrible for Miami. Dude falls down half the time and gets bullied 90% of the time. The 2021 draft was loaded, not just oline, but all the way around. It will eventually go down as one of the best drafts ever.

I'm not sure what we will give up and I'm not sure if we go up to #1 or #3 but I believe we will be aggressive to move up. QB is the one must this team needs. Having a rookie scale QB and flexibility with potential cap space would allow us to fill other holes through free agency.

Could be true, not saying it isn't, but Cowherd spews BS most of the time he opens his mouth. The guy is a moron

Siaki Ika and Mazi Smith

Fantastic hire! If we plan on using Brown at DE, then we might consider Siaki Ika or Mazi Smith in the draft to play NT if a free agent isn't added. If we plan to play Brown at NT, we might look at drafting somebody like Tyler Davis for DE.

This is a better plan than the original OP

We need to go all in on Lamar Jackson...

No thanks! Injured 2 years straight, not giving up that much draft capital, and giving that much money to a QB whose best asset by far is his legs, which he will continue to use exposing him to more injuries. -
Structured offense that relies on quick reads, two things Wilson is not good at.

No doubt it has to be considered. Like I said if not for that concern he would no doubt be the #1 overall prospect. His ability to feel pressure, move up in or around in the pocket, his ability to make off script plays, and his ability to avoid the big hits (in college) at least still make him an intriguing prospect. His traits are really good, its just that frame that is scary. Back against the wall with the #1 pick needing a QB I take him.
-
100% agree, Young has a lot of traits that transform well to the NFL. His size is the only reason he isn't considered the top overall prospect in this class.

I've seen those reports, but its not official. Gannon and Ryans are in the running, so its possible the loser Sunday may also lose their DC as it would be another 2 weeks to wait on the winner. I also wouldn't rule out Fangio going to the 49ers if Ryans leaves, though I'm not sure how their personnel fits his scheme

This is starting to get nasty with coach wilks.
TheProcess replied to ncguy2184's topic in Carolina Panthers
Carolina Panthers bad for not hiring Wilks While no other team in the league with a HC or DC opening have even interviewed him while Tepper gave him 2 interviews Typical media BS -
At least his players like and respect him, the guy (Flores) he followed is not at all missed by the players in Miami.

Was disappointed i missed on a LB
-
Well he better take note of what he just saw from Ken Dorsey's offense, and make sure he doesn't make that huge mistake

Watching Jalen Hurts sort of hurts.....
TheProcess replied to YourLastThought's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hurts has worked hard to make himself what he is today as a player and a leader, happy for him. However he would not be where he is if we had drafted him. His Coaching would have been much worse. Philly has the best Oline in the NFL, and have depth too. Our Oline was good this year, but still isn't as good as Philly. Philly has very good receivers with 1a Brown and 1b Smith along with a couple other guys who compliment well. Goedert is a very good TE as well, we don't have that. Sanders is a really good all around RB too. We just wouldn't have offered Hurts the same opportunities under Fhule -
2 1 3 4 Forfeit the next 3 seasons 5

Let's hope Mayer runs the 40 but passes on the footwork drills. If these two things happen, then he might fall to the 2nd round
