I liked him as a RFA a year ago.. but i think i was salivating at every option presented to me, tbh.. I gotta stop looking at other team's table scraps as the solution to our problems.. Mitchell is decent Big (above average backup) but we really need to be looking at getting a legit Center for the long haul.. We really have an opportunity to build something great over the next few years and 1 or 2 "sideways" moves could prevent us from taking a leap forward..

Hypothetically - all four teams agree on some sort of trade package consisting of PJ/Bouknight + Hayward + 1st Rnd pick(s), which would you prefer: PHO - Ayton @ $35m for 5yrs (sign & trade) UTH - Gobert @ $35m for 4yrs NYK - Randle @ $22m for 4yrs NO - Zion @ $10m for 2 yrs ????????????????????????? I ask because I believe this offseason is the year we solidify the core of the squad by resigning Miles and getting the big man Melo needs. They must be able to run the floor, rebound, catch lobs and defend/protect the rim.

Toronto and Atlanta are no slouch teams.. not a given we make the actual playoffs..

We have 10 games left in the regular season and 6/10 are against Top 6 seed playoff teams with a lil mini road trip sprinkled in. We are playing some good ball right now and I have that we can weather the storm down the stretch and in worst case: play .500 basketball.. NYK - below .500 team trying to save face - don't sleep on em UTH - Gobert will not let us get anything easy at the rim - shots gotta be falling @BRK - playing outta their minds right now - hang in til 4th & hope someone on our side gets hot DEN - hopefully Murray is still knocking off the rust and we can compete @NYK - 1st game of a tough mini road trip - cant get caught looking forward to the next 2 games @PHI - they might be trying to drop in the seeds at this point to miss playing BRK - could get a W @MIA - our nemisis.. hope Caleb has been playing spy the entire time & puts Exlax in their pregame meal ORL - gotta get this W @CHI - kind of floundering recently but still one of the best in a crowded East WAS - gotta close out with a win

A = star caliber B = potential standout C = depth, fills hole Overall Grade = B+ - we definitely targeted some positions and filled them with A/B players and then added depth Still not done in FA.. but obviously the 1 position that matters most is still up in the air.. gotta nail that one or all these other moves won't matter much.. if we trade for Baker/Jimmy = there is a lot of expectations and little hope in future if we draft Willis/Pickett = there is less expectations but more tons of hope This coaching staff begins the season on the hottest of hotseats - i think they will draft a QB to give themselves some breathing room
