  1. I wonder what he did to lose it that quickly? Asking for a friend
  2. Speaking of Baker: The Athletic has a write up on all the qbs from different gm's. https://theathletic.com/3443022/2022/07/25/nfl-best-quarterbacks-tiers/ Our own Mayfield falls into tier 3, 19 overall. Baker and rhule are about to send us into nfl purgatory 19. Baker Mayfield Mayfield cost the Panthers $5.5 million in salary and a 2024 fifth-round pick that could upgrade to a fourth-rounder. That’s a bargain when Sam Darnold is the alternative. But it’s not necessarily the answer. “Baker is not showing up at training camp and (instantly) becoming a 2 for Carolina,” a GM said. “I think he’s a 3 with upside, an interesting guy,” a head coach said. “He needs to get humbled fast or his career is going to be over,” a quarterbacks coach said. Mayfield has been better than Darnold, but he’s had better players around him, and more favorable structure. “If he is humbled and wants to learn and grow and become a better quarterback and develop, Baker can probably be solid then — Jimmy Garoppolo-ish solid,” a defensive coordinator said. A head coach from a team with an upper-tier quarterback raised an interesting point regarding Mayfield’s departure from the Browns. “Something is missing there, and I don’t know what it is,” the head coach said. “I like his feistiness. I’m OK with that. He’s not bad, but there’s not one player that stuck up for him during this whole thing. Not one guy said, ‘Hey, this is my guy.’ So, I don’t know. If you put the tape on, his play is not brutal.” An evaluator suggested Mayfield was “average at best” despite playing in “the most quarterback friendly system there is” with Cleveland. “I think everything has to be perfect to win with those guys,” this evaluator said before Mayfield was traded to Carolina. “I don’t know where Baker goes and makes an appreciable difference.”
  3. He is a retread alias that really doesnt deserve your time. His "arguments" are LOL funny. The way he is defending these coaches and Baker makes me think he is related to rhule
  4. 2 things here: Damn Sam is one big boy and of course he likes pink floyd
  5. Outside of having a good starting qb, depth on the oline is imperative for a playoff team
  6. How in hell is Brown still that overweight??????
  7. Im not sure how a 26 year old player is considered a project. I think at best he is going to be a good/great backup to have on your roster to play in a pinch.
  8. He got hurt the past 2 years and stopped running when he came back. When he is made to stay in the pocket he struggles. If he doesnt move around and create throwing lanes then he is a marginal qb. His size and playing style would scare the bejeesus out of me. Watch the ram playoff highlights and how they contained him in the pocket. I suspect more teams will employ that approach going forward
  9. Its insane to pay a midget that much money.
  10. I am going to laugh like a little school girl when you get banned..........again.
  11. Not when he can get billions from the city. What possible motivation would make him pay for it himself when he knows the city will cave eventually
  12. This probably could go in any thread but here is a nice little talk about our qb situation/battle going into training camp. Just a general recap that we dont know what the we are doing. First segment https://www.theringer.com/2022/7/21/23272541/saddest-quarterback-competitions-nfl
  13. Wait, you dont think Rhule is a screwup? For realz?
  14. thats 100% completely opposite from what the coaches and writers said
  15. Damn that dude spent 12 minutes talking about something that could be summed up in 12 seconds? I actually kindof pity her because she did work hard to get to where she was at and basically nuked her career with some bad bad choices. She is hot so she will rebound somewhere, thats just how it is
  16. Spot on post. At some point we are going to have to draft a qb in the first and build around him. I suspect in the 2023 draft that will be the time a new staff will do it.
  17. Again. Nobody wants us to lose. If you have examples I would love to read them
