I have now heard the name Bailey Zappe 3x as a 4rth round pick potentially to the panthers. Dane B is pretty high on him. I did a semi deep dive on BZ and not sure what to think. The book on him is that he is a dog like Mac Jones. Uber leader and uber smart, can process the defense at record levels, mobile enough but the big knock on him is his average (at absolute best) arm strength. I have never seen him play only youtube highlights but has anyone here seen him or have any input?

Gross and Slater had the exact same measurables at the combine. Somebody really needs to ask pointed questions to him to get some answers.

If we lose to Atlanta does Tepper fire Rhule

nah, i think he gets year 3 regardless -
There are close to 4 lights out plug them in and forget it for 10 years linemen in the the top of the draft. Its a goddamn no brainer to choose one.
-
Exactly my man, exactly. Setting them up for failure from the jump is not any type of plan.

I think the difference is Dane is probably a bit more dialed in and informed then some rando cbs writer. But yeah everyone has an opinion at least. I think once the dust settles on the bowl games and eventual evaluations this is going to be a weak class. Gun to my head I guess Pickett would be #1 but Corral and willis would scare the poo out of me. LIke I said 100 times build the damn line and get your qb next year. Follow the damn process.

Dane Brugler did a podcast on the athletic going through each top prospect and the draft. He seems to think only 2 in the top 25 and the general consensus is just all over the place. No true #1, they all have pretty glaring faults, all in all not as strong as last year. Brugler is tied in with NFL scouts and front office guys, he is pretty respected in that regard. He says there is a ton of 2nd round qbs, meaning they have talent to at least start in the nfl.

I dont see any scenario realistically possible where we draft Howell in the top 10 and he comes in and is successful right off the bat. Not knocking him just saying he isnt that type of qb and this organization is not close at all to be trotting a rookie out there to start. I can easily however see him falling to the steelers and making a playoff push simply due to the existing team and structure in place.

That would be a great situation for him to walk into

Forgot about the arkansas qb. Yeah man next year is stacked. Build your oline this year, run it back with Cam or an andy dalton type and then make your move for qb. Sure it would suck but at least there is a plan
-
Plus his awareness in the pocket and the way he moves in it is legendary. Arguably the best of all time
-
Its imperative we go oline and not reach for a dog poo qb
-
0% chance Pickett goes #1

The kid from coastal and the kid from bc are getting good pub as well
-
And more importantly it looks like the 2023 is going to be really strong again. 4 dudes are already in the mix for the top spot
-
Do you see a prospect in this class that is equal or better then either Herbert or Burrow?
-
Dude all of the top picks this year have shown amazing promise. Not sure what you are watching
-
Get the fug out of here with this retarded argument. Godalmighty what a fuging stupid take this is.
