This is all true. We are stuck with Darnold and/or a rookie qb. Thats why it makes sense to build the line this draft (where there are some top level guys) and then use our top 5ish pick next season to get the qb position right. Forcing another qb into this situation would be insanity.

Our realistic option for QB in 2022 is Sam Darnold.

Hes hurt. He is on the wrong side of 30. We have tried this before (hello Kalil) and it severely handicaps you. Plus for him to come here we would have to throw the bank at him.
-
Screw it dude you are not worth it.

Nah I’m good. Feel free to ignore my posts in the future since I am rent free in your head.

You poor guy, who is emotional now?
-
But what if the team we just traded with has one ranked higher? Its just too risky for qb's.
-
Why would you risk that if you identify someone you like? Seems like a good way to screw yourself in the draft.
-
I am strictly talking about the rankings.

Well I am asking you, dont you think the dudes that get paid for this (Brugler, Kiper, Rappaport etc) are doing deep dives on these guys and they are still coming up with him being the 4rth best? I mean all of those guys are not going to be lazy and simply look at the stats. They are watching film, talking to teams etc.

What type of logic is that if we traded back and someone grabbed the guy we wanted. If we are going QB we are going to stay and get our top choice

He is hurt and the contract projections are roughly 5 years 90 million. Could be closer to 20 per year. I give up if we sign him Armstead is on pace to receive a large payday. Spotrac has his market value set at four years worth $95 million. This is the reason why the Saints should stay very far away from their cherished left tackle this offseason. Giving a soon-to-be 31-year-old a four-year deal worth near triple-digits is a recipe for disaster. At the end of his contract, he would most likely be the oldest tackle in the league and while there are rare cases where older tackles can still play an elite level, it typically doesn’t work out well for teams who try to test this theory. https://whodatdish.com/2021/12/30/new-orleans-saints-terron-armstead-free-agency/

I wouldnt even know what to think at that point. Another overpriced aging left tackle and going to pair him with a overdrafted rookie. Damn man just damn. Burn it down at that point

Nagy at the senior bowl is already singing his praises
-
This is the way That dude on Locked On Panther Podcast says he has a source in the building that says we are probably going to sign Armstead. Godalmighty we simply never learn our lesson if this is true

Tell me again why people think Fitt is some genius

Just curious but do you think that all of these scouts and analysts that have him as the 4rth or 5th in the rankings are not watching his film and they don’t know his circumstances this season?
-
Alright, I just did a 15ish minute dive looking at this dude as I dont remember seeing anything from him last year. His highlight film is nice. He has a classic throwing motion eerily similar to Kerry Collins. He also has great size which I didnt know beforehand. He appears to have a strong arm and no problem throwing to the sidelines deep. He seems to process his reads rather quickly and dumps off when the heat gets a bit hot. He even had a couple of off platform throws that was nice to see. Yeah man he looks like a legit prospect although I dont see much in regards to his athleticism or ability to move out of the pocket which may be a red flag but I dont know. I just watched 2 videos, will definitely check him out next season.

Albert Breer on the Panthers quarterback options

Now that ladies and gentlemen is one super sick burn. Next will come a "basement" joke for sure. -
I am on record as to not wanting him but he had like 5-6 nfl throws in that video you just posted. I am not sure what ground zero should be for those types of throws but he made them against a good clemson defense. I dont think he is terrible but I would want a scout or someone to explain the extreme progression of play from his 4rth to 5th year. After that video I kindof like how he trusts his arm into making some of those throws. The 2 gloves thing scare the poo out of me but he isnt that bad of a prospect imo.
