Jones: Tepper now looking for "a young offensive mind"
mrcompletely11 replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
aye gotcha that makes sense ^^ and ^ -
Depends on who you believe. A first and say a 5th probably gets cmac traded. No team in their right mind is trading 2 firsts I think its somewhere between this what robinson is saying and what Jones is saying. Which is probably, they are asking a lot but would take a first in the end"

I dont know anything about Johnson good or bad but what does "ties to the region" have anything to do with being a nfl coach? That literally has no advantage whatsoever. I maybe get it for a college coach but NFL? -
I think shaq has been average his entire career

kittle And losing Lance was huge. They built the offense around him and he took all of the snaps in preseason as the starter -

Their offense has been decimated with injuries. Shannon is going to be fine -

Its going to be 8 weeks into the season before we even see him. Say he plays lights out for 3 weeks. You envision a team trading anything for him with 2/3 of the season basically over? Sam needs to ride the bench and never play again for us. Its pointless. -

Their defense is really really good. As is their running game. Bill B has gone old school the past few weeks. -

WIlks is trying to win, I doubt he dials it back with cmac this season especially given what I watched on Sunday. -

2 things: Rhule would have been given a longer leash with Jones and I think he probably would have won some more games with jones. Mac isnt terrible per se, just limited -
Because Fitt and Tepper have not shown the ability to have a long term plan. They think every year is a "win now" season.

Your assessment of the roster is pretty damn optimistic. A lot of the guys you are listing arent even playing.

100% but if Rhule had drafted him he still would have a job. -

They are a top 4ish team now in the AFC. They are doing something right -
We will be more competitive for sure I just think we are still a ways out from being where we want to be. Its going to take at least a year for the new coach (assuming we get a offensive young guy) and a new qb (assuming he starts some time in his rookie year) to get their sea legs. And we still have to figure out the cap next year and replace some folks edit to say: On paper we should be more competitive but Tepper may fug up and hire the next Hackett
-
We are one great draft and/or probably two solid drafts to getting our roster into the top 3rd of the nfl. Thats assuming we get a competent qb in this draft. We need a couple more starters and way more depth to be consistently good. I dont think people realize how shallow we are at just about every position. Whats our best position group and where would you rank them in the NFL? Now do that for the next position group and you will see my point.
