Pretty confident its gonna be Dan Morgan GM
mrcompletely11 replied to Frank9999's topic in Carolina Panthers
Its almost if we had a historically bad year, something thats never been done before in the nfl, along side giving up the first overall pick to go with the worst roster in the league. Hmmmm, I truly wonder why folks my have changed their opinion on morgan -
I am fairly certain, based on our previous drafts, that our scouting dept is utter poo, and I am fairly certain that the bulk of our free agent signings are utter poo. Morgan had a hand in all of that, per his own goddamn words. So worst case he is incompetent and best case he is simply a yes man that doesnt push back. Yeah fug that burn it all down

Theres a ton more cringe level quotes out there but this should do hard fuging pass https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2023/08/22/panthers-assistant-gm-dan-morgan-bryce-young-adam-thielen-miles-sanders-dj-chark/ “Bryce is just an impressive individual,” Morgan said, via ESPN’s David Newton. “I think, first and foremost, him off the field—just the kind of person he is, the kind of human being is—really makes you fall in love with the kid. And then obviously, you can see what he does on tape. He’s special. He’s got the pocket presence, he has the poise, he has the accuracy, anticipation. He has all those things you want.” All those things may mean nothing, though, if there’s no one to share it with. Morgan and the rest of the Panthers front office, however, did some work this offseason to make sure that isn’t the case for the 22-year-old passer. “And this isn’t Bryce’s show,” he added. “He’s not doing this alone. We’re not dependin’ on him to go out and make every single play. That’s why we brought guys in like [Adam] Thielen and Miles Sanders and DJ Chark and those kind of guys. So, this isn’t something that he has to do alone and it’s not all on his shoulders.” In addition to those veterans, the Panthers also drafted second-round wideout Jonathan Mingo and fourth-round offensive lineman Chandler Zavala to help Young out. And while the rookie still doesn’t have the greatest of supporting casts, it’s a heck of a lot more than what the last franchise guy got when he started out here. -

fug those nerds -
and on the flip side, what we do know is what morgan thought of the roster going into the season, the decisions that were made going into the season and the evaluation of Young vs stroud. Couple all of that with the poo draft we just had (All we heard was how good of a college scout and player personnel he is) then hes got to go. He may be the best thing since sliced bread but still fug that I wouldnt be willing to gamble on that given the season we just had all things considered. If he is retained as GM then that tells us all we need to know about tepper. Burn this poo completely down tepper you dumb fug.

where did you read this? Ive seen it posted time and time again but its just message board fodder.

It was his evaluation not what he said.

"yeah and walk me through how you thought this roster was better at every position but one"

Bryce young: College - struggled with accuracy under pressure. NFL - check College - struggled with holding the ball too long. NFL - check College - didnt display an elite throwing arm. NFL - check College - struggled with throwing deep balls. NFL - check College - had sloppy mechanics/footwork. NFL - check LOL at some of you guys thinking this is getting cleaned up any time soon

I dont disagree but you cannot deny the dude is green as hell. I am talking about being around a team, running a team etc. His offense may work from the jump but he is going to need time to get his sea legs. I dude like canales may be an easier transition. Maybe not better in the long term but smoother up front. The question obviously is tepper going give these dudes room to breath and grow Since its the teppers hiring I am going to be skeptical of whoever they hire

Being a good OC doesnt mean he will be a good head coach. Way too many variables. And hiring BS just because he had a good year with stroud and assuming he can fix Young would be a panther move for sure. If BS is the guy is tepper going to let give him time to grow into the role because the dude is as green as they come. In closing hiring this dude simply because he had a great offense one year is pretty moronic in my opinion. It would be a bit more logical if he got hired and just let EE handle all things defense and he just focused on the offense but I dont know if it works like. Each head coach has a scheme in mind for what they think would be successful

Guys, a bit of context here. @Shocker is the poster who still says he would take Young over stroud and he wouldnt trade burns for what the rams offered. Just keep that in mind when you engage him or read his posts. Kid aint all there

Belichick the defensive coordinator is still top top tier. Now he has elite weapons so it will be interesting to see what he does offensively They could trade for Fields and use their top 10 pick on defense, we saw how he used cam for a minute, def a player he would like to have on offense

Carolina Definitely Chose the Wrong QB
mrcompletely11 replied to Calboyz13's topic in Carolina Panthers
we have been asking what his strengths are, hell what nfl attributes he has since about week 4ish. Crickets from the peanut gallery. The best answer we got is he throws with anticipation, but to me just about all starting qbs do this at some point or another in games -
Jones had a decent to good rookie year and showed promise. The BB paired him with a defensive coordinator who never had called plays and pretty much wrecked him. I have no idea what happened to him this year as I didnt watch the pats much

I thought it was being rumored that he wanted a year off.
