    I mean not really there are expectations on players based on where they are drafted. For example a player in the top 10 should be an immediate contributing starter. Thats universally understood

    If tmac only has 2 1000 yard seasons and never tops more then 6 tds in 5 years then he is a bust all things considered. If his stats mirror pittman as your post suggests then we should be upset.

    All those points are taken for sure, but its year 3 and he has won a grand total of 5 games. I think what they are saying, all things considered, he has to make the jump into the top 10 of qb play for the entire year. Nobody is diminishing what he did at the end of the year but now its put up or shut up time.

    I bet he gets year 4 even if he hovers around average but I get your point that we have to do all that just to see if he can play well over 17 games. I would imagine over half the qbs in the nfl would be successful if they had all that going for them

    Yeah dude I am not going to play that game with you, Andy dalton was the worst qb in the nfl or close to it after the vegas. If we cannot do better then that then whats the point?

    after the vegas game Dalton was one of the worst if not worst qbs in the league. I dont have unrealistic expectations at all.

    Dalton is not anywhere close to a solid backup. Dude looked washed and horrible after the vegas game.

    Hes a 6th rounder and if he can return kicks better then our existing option then hell yeah he is making the team and lets go from there. Seems like he has jets, not sure of his route running ability

    We shall see, even with simmons Campbell is a top 3ish tackle, kid is incredible in pass pro The pats were 100% correct in firing mayo and getting a real coach in there that knows what they are doing

    1000% just saying on paper they got a ton of highly ranked players and more importantly they slanted the top half of the draft to benefit their franchise guy. On paper they had a lights out draft
