  1. lol that would be awesome, bears get pitts, the 8th pick, 2024 2nd, 2025 1rst and 2026 2nd. I mean at some point the stockpiling of talent would simply will you into the playoffs.
  2. merrill hodge destroys bryce and his game in this interview with local wfnz about 10 minutes in damn he spits truth https://wfnz.com/category/shows/wfnz-wes-bryant-walker-mehl/
  3. macdonald was hired on the 31. Ravens lost on the 28th. I suspect that deal was in place for a while. You simply dont know who said no to morgan/tepper or even what they said. its a game, but you have to admit its telling that nobody else interviewed DC, not even his long time team. That is simply inarguable. Why wouldnt the seahawks at least bring him in to interview just for experience?
  4. how am I supposed to know that? If I had my choice I would have gone macdonald or harbaugh but again based on general principle DC is a fine hire. Best this cycle, no, blows the doors off with his career arc, no. But based on tepper and this franchise he was probably the best we could do without tepper pulling a rhule contract.
  5. get a 2nd and something else and call it a day
  6. we hired a guy who has a jumbled background, who didnt interview anywhere else including his long time team, one year player caller on an average at best offense. You really think tepper and morgan simply outsmarted the rest of the league?
  7. sure, but i think it was more who morgan wanted after the first round of interviews. We will never know but would it really surprise you if some from the first round were like "nah, I aint hitching my wagon and career to bryce"?
  8. they need wrs evans would play here if we overpay maybe bring in 3 or 4 new wr, cant rely on any existing wr on roster canales/baker were good on 3rd down says dalton exposed young a bit compares young year to gabbert and goff young facing uphill battle, most qbs dont come out of tailspin lots of needs on roster, only 6 picks both said let burns go, need to fix offense and enoughs enough dalton schutlz upgrade at te ridley should be an option mingo work in progress mitchell at 33 need guard/center need depth on defense
  9. the sports firm got paid to recommend a dude that only called plays for one year, got bypassed by his old employer, had the worst run game in the nfl and we were his only interview. poo I am in the wrong business
  10. Not everyone but Morgan was his #2. You would think they would at least be in alignment, if not then whats the point?
  11. No way of knowing, but if they general style of Fitts regime was that truly of a "consensus builder" then you have to think he right hand man agreed to the bulk if not all of the moves.
  12. we said at the time that both the phrases "in on every deal" and "consensus builder" were douchy as hell
  13. Fitt had a first round grade on him and MC was his #1 rated qb that draft. And if we are in the business of letting journeyman shitty assistant coaches making trades/picks then we are way more screwed then even I previously thought. Hopefully morgan instills a process for scouting and actual drafting that looks like a modern nfl team and not a fuging fantasy football draft on a 10 beer saturday night
  14. All we can do at this point is hope and wait and see. And I have always said having optimism and hope are not really good strategies in building teams. I hope we crush this draft but I dont even know what that would look like at this point
  15. did the running game get better as the year went on? I didnt watch TB all that much so I have no idea
  16. I mean he is on video agreeing with 2 of our poo draft picks (Johnson and robinson) and you have to think he agreed with the trade and selection of young since he ultimately got the job. Tepper isnt going to keep him onboard if he though young was the wrong choice
  17. Based on who hired both morgan and DC, and based off some of the other red flags that came up during the process and your post pretty much is how I feel as well. Enough with the stupid coach speak.
  18. There were a plethora of coaches and players recently saying how positive and fun it was working for/with Canales. I dont recall one saying how he out schemed or put together a lights out game plan to beat some team. His offense last year was kindof "meh" and there are a few other red flags so I guess we will just have to wait and see and be patient. Like I said, this was probably the best Tepper could have done at the time.
