What would go in a package for Burns/Higgins swap?
mrcompletely11 replied to RumHam's topic in Carolina Panthers
giving out a mega deal to an average wr would be such a panther move -
it all seems to add up

uh dude, you drunk?
-
holy poo this dude gets it a+ post trying to act like we are going to be competitive in 2024 is borderline corky
-
I could go to walmart right now and find 5 dudes (and 1 woman) that would be a better TE than thomas

Panthers now looking at pick 33 for center?
mrcompletely11 replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
no picks and little cap space fuging fitterer was a piece of work -
that doesnt make sense as he still gets paid, would be a weird way to try and alpha someone but I guess we will see once the details of thomas comes out.

we need BPA at every position lol so that shouldnt be hard -
Like mike kaye just talked about on Locked on. I dont understand pushing the money down the road, just suck it up this year with the cap and get out from under these shitty deals. Pushing down the road just hinders us when we may need it.

that doesnt make sense, the cut I mean
-
is he taking a cut or renegotiating the terms moving money to the back end?

at 33 you probably would be getting the best or close to it center that is on your board. At 33 you are probably getting the 8ish best wr, so I guess its how the value the positions. Getting the number one center in the draft, while not sexy, would be incredibly helpful -
cut bozeman but keep thomas Way too early to grade morgan but damn..........

good stuff, we have a ton of cap space coming up in 2025 2026 so there will not be many ext, no sense on loading up on contracts down the road Moton is probably only here 2 more years so an ext doesnt make sense An option for Horn is extend him incentive based

I would bet the majority of this board has seen more NFL bryce then just about every other nfl exec. What he has done prior to last season doesnt matter at all. I would venture to say that I, like many other fans on here probably saw every snap young played. If not all at least 98% of them. And I dont have to be a nfl exec to see that his footwork was bad, his deep ball is bad, his hop throw motion is bad and his arm strength is bad. And quite frankly it really doesnt matter what another team exec says, why would they give 2 shits about bryce? Why would they say anything negative at all? Does that ever happen?

I would be willing to bet those on this board have watched 90% more of young then those execs

I wish I knew the answer, he is so damn strong, aggressive and physical there has to be a way for him to work. But thinking he is athletic enough to play zone is perplexing.

DC said we are running a wide zone concept so not sure what they are thinking leaving icky there

I get the premise extension and cap savings, but we aint winning poo any time soon so I would just rather take our hits and get out from under the bulk of those contracts. Hopefully, there will be a time when it would be helpful to have a bunch of room to make a big time signing that may put us in a playoff type position. Continuing to pay the players that we arent winning with doenst make sense
