  1. a healthy rookie center getting reps and starts is 1000% different then a rookie rb coming off an injury having to monitor his touches especially in a crap year and especially when the starter has 2 shot knees
  2. cleared to play and being 100% are 2 completely different things. Go look up how long it takes a nfl running back to get back to form. We have posted it for you and you refuse to acknowledge. So how about this. If he is such a stud and he will be ready for action week 1, whats your prediction for the season for him?
  3. Which means absolutely nothing. Should have drafted a center and then a rb next year
  4. the best ability is availability and penny is even less reliable then horn
  5. Clean or not its going to take him time to get to 100%, thats just the way it works. Maybe he busts out the later part of the year and gives us hope but I kindof think they bring him along slowly given the type of year everyone is expecting https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30611344/ According to a 2019 study published in the National Library of Medicine, the average time between ACL tear and return to play among NFL players was almost 50 weeks.
  6. I mean sorta, the are widely known as meddling owners, tepper came out during the hirings that he was going to step away and let football people do there thing. So it would be more encouraging on that regard if they simply werent in the room even if it was for optics alone. Take the year off. Get out of sight. Especially considering his behavior the day prior
  7. are other owners wifes callilng other gms about trades? are they going to pro days?
  8. Ben Navarro was never seriously in play to buy the team for numerous reasons
  9. I was pretty fuging vocal about not trading up, rolling out MC and then go from there. But the panthers are going to panther and we more then likely will be starting over again in 25
  10. stroud will punish you with a deep ball, young not so much
  11. did he "rebound" or did he just revert back to his norm after getting away from this terrible franchise?
  12. which in turn gives me hope that we arent married to BY for 2 more years
  13. If the goal was to roll with young and give him exactly what he needs then Ladd would be the pick, if the goal was to build the best roster then XL or coleman would be the better selection
  14. damn it, you arent wrong but darnold is a special special kind of bad
  15. Young should have sat at least 6ish games to start the year. Some qbs can hop right in to the nfl (cam obviously) but most IMO need to sit and learn and not feel the immediate pressure of having to win. I think the Pats are doing that with Maye and I suspect they will be rewarded for it.
  16. Godalmighty https://www.theringer.com/nfl/2024/5/2/24146760/questions-after-2024-nfl-draft-dallas-cowboys-miami-dolphins-cj-stroud-jordan-love-aaron-rodgers The problems begin with Young. The Charlotte restaurateur who clowned Tepper is right. It certainly seems like Tepper was behind the decision to trade up to no. 1 in 2023, then use that pick on Young to be the franchise’s savior. By all measures, Young so far has fallen well short of the mark. Seventy-two different quarterbacks have had 200-plus dropbacks in their rookie seasons since the 2000 season; Young’s 2023 campaign ranks dead last among them in EPA per dropback in obvious passing situations (second, third, and fourth downs of 7-plus yards). Tepper’s hiring and firing decisions and drink-tossing are embarrassing, but missing on Young will set the team back if the QB doesn’t flip the script in 2024. Per FanDuel’s win total projections, the Panthers are tied for the lowest implied market probability to clear 5.5 wins of any team in the league. Stop laughing! It’s not funny!
  17. A bunch of us were screaming that. fug fat fitterer. Should have rolled with the 9th pick and see what Corral had
  18. In his defense he was a rookie that didn't really have training camp becauseofinjury. Then thrust into starting lineup. He was a road grader in college. Hopefully he provides depth at guard
  19. bingo, I honestly have no clue how frequently centers get cut during TC or what not but we seriously need to be proactive if one becomes available. I just cannot see a world where corbett stays healthy all season with those knees.
