Goff has 2 years guaranteed at close to 30 mil per. It would be crazy dumb to pick a qb and have to sit him for 2 years. I think they go wr and see how a change of scenery does for goff.

I hear you man. I have just watched highlights of Lance and Wilson. Fields I have seen a few games and man there is just something off with him to me. At the end of the day I think we sit at 8 and get lance. Kid seems to be the total package just needs some seasoning. Although Wilsons highlight throws are damn near jaw dropping as well so I wouldnt be sad to see him fall to us. Its going to be fun for sure. Just 3 days ago we were debating if all 4 would be gone in 7 picks. crazy times

It does if the plan then is to get Jones. I am still in the “trust the staff” mode 100% so I will go along with whatever they think is best. If we pass on fields or lance then there is probably a significant reason as to why.

Jones is playing the game obviously. Although it would alleviate matters immensely if Rhule (and the staff) deem jones as a competent NFL starter and we can trade back for him if Lance isnt there. Reading the tea leaves from this week it seems there may be mutual interest

On the latest podcast to pros they talk about Jones at the senior bowl and say he is the real deal. Has everything you want in a qb except he has an average arm. Not weak but simply average and the ball doesn’t zip out of his hands. Disappointing they also said Newman has a great arm with a ton of zip but he just isn’t accurate. not sure which I would roll the dice with if it came to that. Probably Jones since they said he can process things incredibly fast on the field. I wish there was some way we could trade down pick some top tier lineman in the first and snag Jones in the 2nd if lance or whoever doesn’t fall to 8.

About the price lowering. If/when the texans decide to trade him they will get a haul no matter when it is
