I am like you and not really getting into about his back story with georgia but that stuff is out there. Using racism to transfer and play immediately when you get beaten out is not a good look.
-
Does that really matter if the other guy you are deciding on goes 2 picks later? Thats not really BPA strategy. Thats not a reach. Picking Daniel jones at this spot was a reach
-
Why what? Why he is getting hyped? He has a shoulder cannon, he is a physical marvel and very athletic and has produced on the big boy stage. I get the hype for sure
-
He has a funny release in his throwing motion. Day called a one read system where he didnt need to get cute with the ball. He holds the ball too long, and tucks it and runs way too quickly which makes people think he doesnt go through his progressions This is what I have gathered from podcasts and scouting reports. I am not football savvy enough to know one way or another
-
You still didn't answer the question and the tackles went two picks later. That's not reaching
-
I mean I kindof respect him for it. He doesnt just give his hot take and leave. He actually breaks down why he feels like that.

Riot report breakdown how generational is Sewell
mrcompletely11 replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
No not right now. I think potentially sure. Lawrence is a pick that I would consider generational. Thats about it. Chase Young as well -
I read on the athletic I think is that Miami is trying to come away with Chase and Etienne in the first. That would super charge their offense
-
Or since you know, we dont really have a competent LT on the roster
-
If he slips to 7 I would throw our 3rd in a deal with Detroit to flip picks to make sure we get him

Riot report breakdown how generational is Sewell

He is only 20 and had an incredible year as a 19 year old lineman. I think he is good now but the potential is dripping off him that could make him generational. -
Peter King has us taking Justin Fields

Bojangles might be the most hideous/disgusting food on the planet. In the mid 90's it was good but man it has cratered on itself and is just a greasy poo pile no matter what you get from the menu. -
No I am not. I wanted one of the top 4 guys last year and I was vocal about it over Brown, who Marty televised that we were going to pick. Brown's knock on him pre draft was that he didnt generate sacks. So I was totally (and still am) that picking him over a stud LT is not the way you build a team. And since rhule wanted to trade out it seems I am right. Just seeing how they performed in their rookie season solidifies my point. Wills went 2 picks later and that started the run on tackles. Thats not reaching. Now answer the question

Looks like Sewell won't make it past MIA...
mrcompletely11 replied to GOAT's topic in Carolina Panthers
Or trade back out if Fields starts falling. Would they take 15, a 2nd and next years 1rst to swap with NE? -
A non pass rushing DT is way down on the list team value. You can go back a year and I was screaming for one of the tackles and we had our choice of 3 good ones. Wirfs is the 2nd best RT in the league right now. You know damn well they are moving him to LT in the very near future. Beckton had a pretty good season at LT and will only get better. Now I am not saying Brown is dog crap but seriously ask yourself this and be honest. Who would you rather have today going into this draft. Wirfs/Beckton or Brown. Your answer shouldnt even be a debate.
-
Trading for a 30 year old corner on the downside of his career that is going to want an extension and giving up 7 draft spots is the definition of insanity. No way it happens
-
0.0% chance that happens. Come on now
-
I am going to disagree here.
-
We can bolster the line in the first 2 rounds. Go LT 1rst, then hopefully a 2nd tier guy is there in the second (Humprhies, Jenkins, whoever) and put him at guard. You can completely fix the line if you get a center in the 3rd or 4rth. Boom, done.

What Are the Chances of Sewell Actually Dropping to us?
mrcompletely11 replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
5 qb's in 7 picks???? While I would love for that to happen its just not going to go down like that. I think SF goes with Mac and the draft really starts with ATL. If they go QB (which I doubt) then the craziness will start. I still think they go pitts and Lance and/or fields begin their descent down the draft board. -

I'm not sure how you can pay someone $40 million and have a toxic situation. This is a business and I think both parties understand that. -
I'm down
-
Which team and what amount? I think we stay at 8 but definitely trade down in the 2nd. Our pick is the sweet spot for 2nd tier lineman and still first tier corners. I could see another team wanting to move up. Plus its still likely that all of the running backs are on the board and that could be enticing for another team
-
If that is the case than I am not sure how they can see that. A starting LT is a premium especially when you dont have anything that resembles one on the roster. If this is the case and they pick Horn over Slater that is going to be deja vu in picking Brown over Beckton or Wirfs in 2020.

It might not have been that much and I agree with the 3 firsts. Just saying if Tepper had a hard on for a franchise qb and they thought Fields was it then they could have had him.
