Teddy is a pussy that is scared to throw downfield. I doubt mac is. Again not saying I want him but I am already mentally preparing myself for Jones to be our qb for the next few years
-
He also show some pinpoint accurate throws as well
-
Herbert had all the physical tools but he was dinged for being an introvert that had never left his hometown
-
okay the chance is 0.1% that it happens This qb class is not that strong and I doubt there will ever be one where like 4 qbs of that quality all come out at the same time. I have said since the beginning at the very least Lance will be there just due to the incredible lack of playing time and tape on him. Teams are not drafting a dude that high simply based on pure athletic traits knowing he has to sit for a significant time theses days. Now whether we draft him is a completely different story (I kindof hope we do since Brady is still here to teach). Now I think you see the talking heads like Simms etc are all coming around on what kind of prospect both Lance and Fields are. They both need some time on the bench. I just dont see ATL drafting fields knowing he is going to sit for 2 years. Thats not the modern NFL.
-
Except its not dude, its really not. The teams that might trade up are in a win now mode and not going to sit on a project which everyone says Fields and Lance are. Philly isnt drafting a qb and the lions have goff for 2 more years. The wild card is ATL but I think they run this out with Ryan and Co and go corner. Like I said the chances are four are gone in 7 picks (which has never happened before ) is 0.0.

Its deeper but not as top heavy and we are going to be sifting through the 2nd tier whereas last year we had our choice. fug hurney. No way anyone can convince me otherwise.
-
Thats why I am still pissed at Hurndog for not taking a LT in last years draft. I mean damn we had the pick of the litter with 3 incredible prospects and we go DT. It makes no sense giving what we knew at the time. Sure brown is good but he isnt going to be more valuable than Wirfs willis or Becton over the course of their career. Wouldnt it be fuging peaches and cream going into this draft knowing we had both of our tackle spots solidified?
-
After Rhule called him an alpha at the Senior Bowl I mentally started the process that Mac very well may be our pick. Not sure how I am going to feel if that does play out that way. I just want the pro days and interviews and work outs to start so we can at least begin getting some more info on these guys

Looking back on the past 5ish super bowls and I know its skewed hard because of brady but it seems like the qbs that play in the game about roughly half are athletic (Jimmy G, Mahoomes, Cam, Wilson) and roughly half are pocket passers (Brady, Ryan, Manning, Foles, Goff). And with basically all of those teams had good/great olines and defenses. So maybe we are putting a little too much emphasis on how athletic a qb really needs to be
-
Dude what the hell are you talking about? If anything its becoming way more likely we will have a choice of 2 of the top 4 at pick 8 if ATL goes defense instead of qb which I think will happen. If the Jets stay with Darnold then things get all kinds of interesting. So stay at 8 and see how the draft goes but there is no way in hell all 4 are going in the first 7 picks. 0% chance.

Chris Simms “no way the panthers draft Lance at 8”
mrcompletely11 replied to GoobyPls's topic in Carolina Panthers
What bonus are you talking about? He is guaranteed a 2nd year regardless of what happens. Nobody is trading for him so he is going to be on the roster come hell or high water. Signing him was stupid and I suspect that is what got hurndog fired. Teddy can bitch and bitch if he wants to (which I suspect he will not) but the panthers just padded his bank account with 40 million so I think he is going to do whatever we ask. -

Its been proven time and time again the job of both GM and Head Coach is just too much for any individual over the long run. -

Maybe. But he lays out his case pretty well. Personally I would rather roll the dice with Lance but if they feel Mac can help us win now then so be it. I think this is all just repetitive stupid poo until the workouts and interviews start. -

Justin Fields: Closer Look/Why I think he could be the guy
mrcompletely11 replied to davos's topic in Carolina Panthers
NFL reporter Chris Mortensen reports Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie "has instructed his group to prioritize making [Jalen] Hurts successful in 2021 as opposed to creating a true competition." Mortensen reports there isn't "internal unanimity" about Hurts as the starting QB in 2021, but Lurie has been clear that the second-year QB should be given a real shot. Mortensen replied to a tweet from the Philadelphia Inquirer's Les Bowen questioning Mort's report that the team is sure about Hurts as its starter in 2021. But Lurie's support would presumably carry significant weight with the team's new coaching staff. Mortensen said in February -- after the team traded Carson Wentz to the Colts -- that the Eagles "intend to bring in competition" for Hurts. Apparently that calculus could change with Lurie's input. The dual-threat Hurts could be a standout late-round QB pick in fantasy leagues if he wins the starting gig. SOURCE: Chris Mortensen on Twitter Mar 8, 2021, 9:29 AM ET- 58 replies

Justin Fields: Closer Look/Why I think he could be the guy
mrcompletely11 replied to davos's topic in Carolina Panthers
Dude that is way too much. The Dolphins will still get the same player at 8 that they would at 3 so I wouldnt go crazy. I would wait to see what the jets do and then go from there. We need to keep every pick in this draft. If the fins will not do it for next years 1rst then so be it. Like I said they still will get one of the top 2 wr's at 8- 58 replies
