  1. The NBA draft lottery is the dumbest thing in professional sports. It makes zero sense.
  2. Why in the hell would any gm agree to the job with a subordinate making the decisions?
  3. There is no way we were looking to trade for darnold after his 2nd year.
  4. But hey, on the flip side, if by some miracle Rhule and Darnold makes the playoff next year he probably coaches another couple of year. so theres that
  5. No more giving vets multi year deals and no more trading for crap qbs. Roll with Darnold and if something happens (spoiler: it will) then start Walker since Rhule is so hell bent on keeping him on the roster.
  6. Williams was never a F/A. And I would rather not take my chances giving someone record money who is already hurt when we can simply draft a guy.
  7. This is all true. We are stuck with Darnold and/or a rookie qb. Thats why it makes sense to build the line this draft (where there are some top level guys) and then use our top 5ish pick next season to get the qb position right. Forcing another qb into this situation would be insanity.
  8. Our realistic option for QB in 2022 is Sam Darnold.
  9. Hes hurt. He is on the wrong side of 30. We have tried this before (hello Kalil) and it severely handicaps you. Plus for him to come here we would have to throw the bank at him.
  10. Screw it dude you are not worth it.
  11. Nah I’m good. Feel free to ignore my posts in the future since I am rent free in your head.
  12. You poor guy, who is emotional now?
  13. But what if the team we just traded with has one ranked higher? Its just too risky for qb's.
  14. Why would you risk that if you identify someone you like? Seems like a good way to screw yourself in the draft.
  15. I am strictly talking about the rankings.
  16. Well I am asking you, dont you think the dudes that get paid for this (Brugler, Kiper, Rappaport etc) are doing deep dives on these guys and they are still coming up with him being the 4rth best? I mean all of those guys are not going to be lazy and simply look at the stats. They are watching film, talking to teams etc.
  17. What type of logic is that if we traded back and someone grabbed the guy we wanted. If we are going QB we are going to stay and get our top choice
  18. He is hurt and the contract projections are roughly 5 years 90 million. Could be closer to 20 per year. I give up if we sign him Armstead is on pace to receive a large payday. Spotrac has his market value set at four years worth $95 million. This is the reason why the Saints should stay very far away from their cherished left tackle this offseason. Giving a soon-to-be 31-year-old a four-year deal worth near triple-digits is a recipe for disaster. At the end of his contract, he would most likely be the oldest tackle in the league and while there are rare cases where older tackles can still play an elite level, it typically doesn’t work out well for teams who try to test this theory. https://whodatdish.com/2021/12/30/new-orleans-saints-terron-armstead-free-agency/
  19. I wouldnt even know what to think at that point. Another overpriced aging left tackle and going to pair him with a overdrafted rookie. Damn man just damn. Burn it down at that point
  20. Nagy at the senior bowl is already singing his praises
