I dont think bias is the word you are looking for here. I think the bulk of us just realize our situation as a franchise and think there is simply no way we can afford to draft a kid like willis. We just are not set up for that type of project. His flaws are in direct contrast with what we need at the moment.

This todd mcshay: “I’d love to see him in a situation where he doesn’t get thrown in right away, where he has people around who can develop him. .” “It’s pretty clear he has the most upside of the class’ quarterbacks,” McShay said. “Is he ready to take over right away? That’s another discussion.” The ESPN analyst suggests the Liberty standout might need one year in the pros to develop and possibly learn behind a veteran. https://www.sportscasting.com/nfl-draft-analyst-todd-mcshay-reveals-why-malik-willis-top-15-nfl-qb/

Im sorry but a one word tweet isnt giving me the warm and fuzzies that Willis will be able to start and win games in year one, especially when the HUGE knock on him is he is raw and is playing in an elementary offense. But by God if some dude named Chris Trapposo says he can play then fug it all draft willis at 6 and lets roll

There is really nothing more to be said about willis at this point past this post. Everyone and their brother acknowledge he needs a ton of work on the passing side, mechanics, reading defenses etc. And everyone acknowledges he is going to need a redshirt year (or 2). So that alone crosses him off of our board.

No way we pay close to $40 million for Darnold and Baker. That is next level stupid

I get what you are trying to say about the game changing however if anything the game is changing in favor of the throwing qbs with all of the rule changes. Just look at all of the accumulated passing yards the past decade or so. But I get your overall point about qbs being a dual threat. Personally I just think that is overrated. I mean damn we just had the best ever and couldn't do poo with him.

He is a top 10 pick that so far hasnt shown he is any thing close to a startable corner in the NFL. In fact you can argue he is a liability on the field.- 107 replies
