  1. Meh. He is owed 60 million this year and will cost a first round pick and may only play 1 more year. What’s the point?
  2. I think if we were interested we would have jumped in the sweepstakes the second he interviewed with the saints.
  3. I think ar plays at some point his rookie year but to your point he is younger and not hurt. I will trust the staffs plan when it comes to development I just think drafting a qb with a major injury in the 2nd or 3rd is not where this franchise is especially one with huge question marks coming from a basically one read gimmick system. Hooker is not the answer. You draft him in the 2nd. Sit him for 2023 so essentially 2024 is his rookie year at 27. I mean does that make sense to you?
  4. Be that as it may are you burning a 2nd on him? I’m not and we already have a developmental qb from the 3rd. Imo he should be off our draft board
  5. For sure but I still will say no team is trotting him out there until late in the season if even then so it’s essentially a redshirt year. That may fit another team’s timetable but it sure as hell doesn’t fit ours.
  6. Tears his acl late nov. says he will be ready for training camp. ::checks calendar:: starts in July. Sure buddy I am sure you will be ready to go.
  7. He said the same thing about mayfield
  8. May be ready for what? 100%? Statements like that are vague for the sake of being vague. A team would absolutely be nuts to roll him out there at the start of the season. ACL are no jokes no matter what hooker says. thats a 9 month minimum injury
  9. Then he is back on a 4 year deal as most people doubt Hooker will play this season and if it at all its past the halfway point
  10. isnt Rodgers owed like 60 million next year? Damn that is totally redlining things by trading assets and paying him that for potentially one maybe 2 years
  11. Chinn is up for a mega deal after the season. We (being rhule and fitt to a degree) have totally wasted rookie deals for absolutely nothing
  12. depends on how the team wants to develop them. I am sure each staff probably has a different plan as each kid is unique. I wouldnt throw any of them into the fire from the jump
  13. All of these top rookies are going to need a vet qb in the room to get things started.
  14. Key takeaway from the article: Eventually, every team will have met with virtually every prospect between contact at college all-star games, the annual NFL scouting combine, campus visits, pro day workouts, and private meetings at the team facility. So we shouldn’t make too much of this.
  15. and his rookie year is basically a wash a la corral. So why in the hell would we draft him?
  16. my bad he is 25, that clears things up, lets draft him then
  17. He cannot work out, he cannot go to the combine. How do you figure this is going to happen between now and April?
  18. Its pretty nuts as it is. People are really advocating drafting a dude in the second that tore his acl in nov? Have we lost our collective minds?
  19. Going off analytics is almost an 99.9% certainty someone falls to 9 perhaps 2. Unless Stroud falls to 5 I would just hold tight, aint no way in hell 4 qbs go in the top 8
  20. you cant dismiss them but you most certainly can put them in context, simply laying them out like that is pretty lazy
