But Allen did start and he progressed. I dont know the answer in developing qbs because I think if they can play they can play and let them figure it out a la allen. But with guys like Fields they clearly needed a year on the bench. This is why I want an offensive mastermind as coach to figure it out. No offense to Wilks but he just seems to old school to know whats what in regards to qbs

LIke I said earlier about him, once in about a dozen or so plays you go "holy poo" and see why people poo their pants for him. Whether its scrambling or throwing absolute lasers he has the skill but man is he far away from being ready. Then again if you go back to JOsh allens rookie year the dude was sup 50% if I remember correctly so I dont know

This kid is legit. Best prospect in a few years. The way he adjusts the speed of his throws is pro ready right now. My only gripe about him, and this is minor, is that he takes some unnecessary hits when he scrambles. He needs to work on sliding, getting out of bounds and just knowing when the play is dead. But that can be worked on. He took a couple of dumb hits last night that could have turned out bad.

I mostly agree with you here but if you listen to the ringer podcast I posted they all agreed he would slip into the first based on the 5th year option and then they listed a bunch of guys in similar situations that went back to school and were exposed and were either not drafted or drafted late

He isn’t going to be drafted on his play. He will be drafted because of his unicorn skill set like josh Allen.
