  1. Most of the latest mocks this week has us taking AR at 9. Sports talk in Clt did a segment on it. I can link if you give a poo
  2. One is an anonymous message board poster and the other is a subscription based website used by the nfl
  3. Thats the thing for me. What is cheap in regards to him? And for how long. https://boardroom.tv/highest-paid-backup-qb-nfl-2022/
  4. ahem, nobody you say? 15. QB Sam Darnold: 55.7 https://www.carolinahuddle.com/topic/181784-pff-grades-from-panthers-week-17-loss-to-buccaneers/
  5. He has had one good game, and lost in that one. We can do better.
  6. give him a couple more years because he has looked "decent" in a handful of games. Got it.
  7. we tried, it didnt work, its time to cut ties and let another franchise waste money on him and try and to get him up to speed. He needs to seriously be moved from this roster, back up or not, friendly deal or not he is not the answer
  8. You could argue he has played above average in one game (tampa) and still lost. Throwing for an avg for 189 yards/game is not "above average" You want to hitch your wagon to that? fug that noise
  9. I've seen enough of sam, he needs to go to another team to be their headache. Everything has to be perfect around him just for him to be an average qb. Lets pull the plug on this experiment
  10. Damn, just damn Life can be a mess sometimes
  11. Its perfect timing for us to get a world class coach but I can only wonder how we are going to fug this up
  12. Those picks potentially could have helped us to move up for a franchise guy if needed and still not deplete our draft capital. See how that works? And I agree 100% about darnold. Let him be some other teams headache, ive seen enough of him
  13. We've won 16 games in 3 years. Clearly what we are doing and the players we have doing it is working
  14. Thats the exact quote John Ellis and Billy pointed out on the Roar when this was going down.
  15. exactly I think if all teams held this philosophy then you would see it work in reverse more. Clearly you dont so that just shows all situations are different. Why wouldnt teams in a win now mode go all in with draft picks? Teams rebuilding like the panthers should have a plan 2/3 years out. Fitt continually thinking this is a win now franchise is fuging stupid. It was short sighted and a pure selfish move not to do it.
  16. Thats cool and thats your opinion but they are a highly regarded organization that tracks, monitors and grades players. Thats their job. Their methodology isnt some closely guarded secret they let you know how they grade. https://www.pff.com/grades Do they have flaws, sure I bet you could cherry pick a few but on the whole they have him at 65. Thats about right all things considered. He has become a complete liability in the run game, thats not an opinion thats a fact. Thats not debatable. Everyone on here agrees he is a good pass rusher. He is a great situational player but he is basically a one trick pony. Can he get better in the run game, maybe but I doubt it. He is who he is at this point, 4 years in. All that said, because we gave him crazy leverage we are undoubtedly going to pay him top 3 money. You think he is worth that? So the panther cycle of bad contracts just keeps rolling on. Why did we trade cmac? Because we gave him a dumbass contract and we had to get out from under it. See a pattern here? The Rams were desperate and dumbass fitt didnt take advantage.
  17. His lack of ability to stop the run…………. therein lies the problem and the point we are trying to explain to you
  18. You are a good poster. Don’t lose credibility with stuff like this. They are universally respected
  19. If that is the universal approach why don’t you see the reverse in play during the draft?
  20. The value on a first round pick 2 or 3 years from now is a first round pick to a franchise, its probably not worth that much to a gm on the hotseat. Thats where the disconnect is
