Its a biblical proverb ya nerd lol

I've been watching these every year, but I think this year I'm gonna save it until about Week 10 or 11.

Its called checking down when everyone including Shy Tuttle knows it coming.

Would the Carolina Panthers move on from QB Bryce Young?

Ok now this is poo posting. Gotta love The Fan. -
I wouldn't be mad seeing Darnold finally become a consistently good QB, but I just don't see it. All the coaching in the world can't address his problem. He's too easily rattled. It's not PTSD. He's just not good in the pocket.
-
I mean we obviously have a generational defense. Duh.
-
This is positive coach speak stuff that I wouldn't read too much into.
-
Thats actually a pretty insane heads up play because he's not even dropping into a shallow zone there. He sees the pass is coming, disengages from the blocker, and turns into a pass defender.
-
When a guy like that gets the ball, pretty much everyone wants to see him run with it lol.
-
That's a bummer.
-
I would say he definitely proved me wrong though. His level of play in Chicago was higher than any year he's had here. And he was quite good every year for us. It really was the offense he was in that was limiting him.
-
If fans can see it, you know the coaches have already seen it. It's like if I can smell it, I know my dog can really smell it.
-
I think if he gets hurt, you gotta plan to take another QB and move on. Worst case scenario you have a Drew Brees/Phillip Rivers situation. And I'd rather have that problem than the problem of having no quarterback.
-
For me, a pleasant surprise would be the offense making the defense adjust in the game. Even if we lose and we can't consistently move the ball, or score TDs. But if they're just birds on a fence like 5-10 yards out, and we can't do anything again... oh boy.
-
I told myself to be patient, but I've seen too much already. I'm holding out hope that the regular season week 1 will be a pleasant surprise. But you know. If it smells like poo outside the bathroom door, I wouldn't open it. That's kinda where I'm at.

I don't know why you guys are so caught up on stats. He didn't throw many INTs for a starter. You can say that's because he was overly safe, or its the receivers fault, or its Reich, etc. But the reality is, he turned the ball over less than most rookies would in that situation.
-
The burden of proof is on Bryce. He wasn't good enough last year, and he doesn't look any different this year. That's where the concern is coming from. If the direction doesn't change, expect similar results.

I'm taking the bait. I argued Moore was not a top end elite #1 receiver, but he was very good. (We're talking Justin Jefferson, Tyreek Hill, peak Smitty etc. This is a very high bar for me.) I still don't think I'm wrong about that, but his contract was a steal. Trading him was horrendously stupid. He also elevated his game further after the trade to Chicago. I did not expect that. Chicago is historically where WRs go to die. He definitely made sure to make us look as dumb as possible.
-
I'm sorry you're right. The QB of the team that we traded our future for is of no concern. This season is definitely nothing to do with him, and how he's looked so far is no indication of how he will play.
-
If Dalton is healthy I would bet he plays 1-2 quarters and Luton gets the rest.
-
"No decision"... We all know he's not playing lol

In the offseason of 2012, the Seahawks went out and gave Matt Flynn a huge bag. He was supposed to be the starter. They overpaid him, and he was already penciled in as the dude. But they took a QB in the 3rd round because they liked him. Independent of the signing they had just made. Russell Wilson played so much better than Matt Flynn in the preaseason, that nobody even knows who the hell that guy is today. That's how you run a football team. You keep looking until you find the guy. If you're not sure, then you haven't found him.

The season is less than a month away. If we can't throw the ball down the field, it's gonna be a complete disaster. Imagine last year, but now everyone has a year of film our QB. A more realistic progression would be a sophomore slump. That's the unfortunate reality we are facing. It's just become pretty glaring to me why they didn't bring in anyone else. There would be a literal mutiny.

They also play these games that don't count before the season starts. A lot teams use them for this type of thing, but I've been told otherwise by Panther fans.
