  1. Maybe that's why, but its a stupid reason IMO. We don't have a center. I'd rather a have a rookie take his lumps and learn with a young QB, than not have a center and therefore not have any kind of offense. You can't protect the QB with a center that can't play. Interior pressure is game over.
  2. They'd rather take some high potential prospect that won't play instead of a center in rounds 2-7. The center would only need to be better than god awful to start.
  3. I'd rather see him fail horribly by trying to take some shots than just playing safe until we draft his replacement.
  4. For me, the gametime situation is just so different from training camp. Even if they're out there in pads playing, its not the same.
  5. That's good the connection is coming along in camp. But I'm not buying into anything until I see the regular season this year. Fool me 6 times, shame on you.
  6. That's awesome. Our very first true Hall of Famer. Drafted by the team and spent most of his career here. I would add that if you're looking for a safe jersey to buy, his is now officially an all time classic. Its the only one I owned from the early 2000's era where the player didn't immediately become cursed after I got it.
  7. Point is he was taken in the 6th round and he’s doing well in camp. They spent a top pick on a QB and still took a 6th round flier on a guy. Because hitting on a QB is everything.
  8. Yea if only he got to play against the Panthers every week. Even worse he’ll never get to this year because he’s on the team.
  9. There's literally no reason not to. https://www.si.com/college/tennessee/football/tennessee-volunteers-joe-milton-predicted-to-win-starting-job-for-patriots-01j47x5gnzpd
  10. I don't think we'll have a decent idea until we see some games. I bought in pretty hard last year and I was excited for Bryce. It seemed like everything was going great until we played another NFL team. And it was like they had 2 years of film on the guy before he even took a snap.
  11. It's all just a hoax so they can come out with nothing but deep shots week 1.
  12. Bro what reality are we referencing? That would have been a hall of fame draft in the Fitterer era lmao.
  13. Because the only fans left are people that can deal with it. I use humor. Some others use blind optimism. But we all have our coping mechanisms.
  14. Bryce needs those reps. The whole first team offense does. Sounds like a waste of time again.
  15. Don't worry. Bryce will be the goat and he will demand a trade back.
  16. Don’t worry guys Andy will be healthy in time for the week 18 culture win
  17. Seems safer to draft for immediate impact and potentially lower ceilings when your roster is completely empty. A draft pick just needs to be replacement level to make the team or even start. A lot of these boom or bust guys will never reach replacement level, and are useless.
  18. Surely Coleman won't outshine XL this year like Stroud did Young last year. Surely.
  19. I said it in another thread, but when you need to get on base, you hit for contact. When you have some base runners, you can afford to swing for the fences. But if you hit a home run with nobody on base, the impact is less. It's very similar to building a roster. The odds of a lot of these types booming is so low. The most likely scenario is you're going to get lucky on 1 or 2 over several years. That's not enough to build a roster. You need some potatoes on your plate to fill things out. When the marginal low ceiling guy isn't going to make the roster, you can take some chances on higher ceiling prospects.
  20. If you watch at 1.25x speed he's pretty fast
