Not sure why we’re so focused on defensemen, when they’re probably the best part of our team. The TDA thing makes sense to me because we barely had to give up anything and his salary is 50% retained. Trading for Karlsson and paying the rest of his contract doesn’t make a ton of sense to me if TDA is coming back. He’s good but I think his average value is something like 11 million for the next 3 years.

He’s still super young and the hope is his game gets more polished as he matures as a player. Also he needs to stay healthy. But the talent is undeniable and it’s not every day this franchise gets a player of his caliber. You can pick in the top 3 for years and not hit on a player like him. Its a bit risky to build around him because of the missed time, but I don’t really see how moving on from Lamelo would be a better option for this team at this juncture. With everyone healthy this is a team that could make the playoffs. And the core of the roster is so young that they could improve significantly over the next couple seasons. Maybe we can get a good coach too.

I think he’s worth the risk for our team. How often do we get a player as talented as Lamelo? Might as well lock him up and see where we can go.

Its not every day we get a player of Bridges' caliber on our team. I think we have to try and keep him around.

You’d just grandfather them in until they build their next one. You don’t have to push an owner very hard to build a new stadium. It seems like that’s all they ever want to do.

I like this move. Our PP was better with TDA, and with Philly paying 50% of the salary its a no brainer.

I think they can only change uniforms every 5 years but this is such a minor tweak, I don’t know that it really counts as an actual change. Also not sure if that will remain the alternate or be the primary home?

Maybe but to me Vegas seems like a much better version of the kind of hockey Florida plays. They are both physical and forecheck aggressively but Vegas is just better at it. That particular style seemed to give the Canes trouble. It’s unreal how good Vegas is at blocking shots and protecting the net. If a shot isn’t blocked, they’re bumping guys off the puck as they shoot or getting a stick in there. They are also pretty skilled offensively and have a good power play. I really thought the road was paved for us to make it to the finals this year but watching this series I don’t know if we would fare much better than Florida. Maybe next year will be the one for our guys.

Really good game tonight. Somehow Florida squeezed a win out of that game despite all the power plays they gave Vegas. At least we have a series again.

Can’t wait to see Bryce in action. Dude can throw the ball.

I would think they would get in via rotations and the inevitable injuries that will likely occur. It probably doesn’t matter anyway though because I don’t think Hopkins wants to play with a rookie QB.

I don’t really see the points against Hopkins. It’s not like only 2 WRs see the field in todays game. The other guys would still be getting plenty of snaps. And while it would be great if Mingo and TMJ would break out, I wouldn’t necessarily bet on it happening. Hopkins contract would likely be short so the long term impact would be minimal.

I’ve been as big of a Burns critic as anyone but just like everyone else he deserves a clean slate this year. Hardly anyone played well under Rhule and I don’t think anyone got better. Let’s see how he does with a real coaching staff and a scheme that puts him in position to succeed.

At this point what else is there to talk about besides being excited about Bryce Young? It’s like the most boring part of the year to be a football fan. Bryce Young is the most exciting thing to happen to the Panthers since Cam Newton was drafted more than a decade ago. People should be excited. This type of thing does not happen often or even ever for teams. We have the rest of his career to come back down to earth, but now is the time for unrestricted excitement.

Bryce looks really good slinging the ball around. I’m really excited to see how he does this year. He looks very accurate and comfortable.

Sucks to lose DJ but unfortunately for him Chicago is probably the toughest team to be a WR on. If Bryce pans out it’s a big win for us.

If you’re not interested in a specialty pizza, there’s no reason to go to Papa Johns or whatever. You can’t beat a pepperoni pizza for 7 bucks.

Vegas and Florida should be a great series. I think Vegas had the edge but I’ll be rooting for Florida. I wish the Canes would have gone obviously, but I can’t be upset with that series. They played hard every game, but Florida was just better each time. They have something magical going right now and I wouldn’t mind seeing them win the cup.

It’s not really about what anyone deserves. But it would be stupid to not see what he’s got. We traded up for him and he hasn’t gotten much of a chance to show his stuff.

He must have really messed up when he interviewed with teams. Washington and Tampa passing on him was surprising.

I was hoping we’d move up and take one of these WRs
