Panthers bring Jordan Matthews back to 53-man roster

We are so back -
Fox doesn't really care about the product on Sundays. They haven't done anything in almost 25 years to make the broadcast better. People watch regardless. I'm sick of the football robot.

zone blocking? lol
-
Brady doesn't have enough on screen personality to be any good. It'd be like hiring Russell Wilson to do it.
-
I don't understand this hire, but I also don't understand Joe Buck and Troy Aikman being coveted. Most of the crews are bad right now.

How the mighty have fallen. Hope he's invested all that Fitterer money into a solid market index.

Is it just me or is he already improving at this?

Confidence is a hell of a drug. If it can rub off on some of the players it could pay dividends.

Bring back Michael Bates!

Canales does come across a lot better in a press conference than Rhule and Reich. I get the feeling the vibe is better in the locker room. He seems like a players guy. I guess we'll see how that evolves throughout the year.

I guess depending on where you are in line, the waiver priority might be more valuable than a 7th round pick.

Good for TMJ. If Shanahan can't use him, he's probably headed to the XFL or another line of work.

I'm sorry I can't help myself.

Panthers initial 53-man roster

Auto drafting off of Mel's big board would have probably yielded better results. -
Oh no. not the RAS gods again.

Most overrated QBs as voted by their peers
PNW_PantherMan replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's not new. People have been trying to do that since Seattle won over a decade ago. The reality is, it's not a feasible strategy. If you have a legit QB, they aren't seeing that 5th year option. They will be extended on a new deal by year 3 or 4. The model is get a franchise QB that can compete for titles, which is insanely difficult. You have to make the call if they are that guy or not by year 3. We'll see how this works out for Miami. -
If Buffalo doesn't give him a look, that's not a great sign for him. You would think Joe Brady might want to kick the tires.
-
He's hall of very decent to me, but he gets a few points for being a good dude, a good leader, and somehow still proud to be a Carolina Panther.

I don't hate the decision to move on. There's a lot more to it than just performance on the field, and I think there was a bit of a rift between Teddy B and the coaching staff. We ended up taking the side of the coaching staff and sending Teddy packing. Only to fire the OC and later the HC in the following years lol. It kinda reminded me of the Keyshawn Johnson thing in the 2000's. On paper he was a good addition to the team, but he publicly spoke out and a breakup was inevitable. At the end of the day, Teddy wasn't the answer at QB and Rhule wasn't the answer at coach either.
