  1. If true, that rumored Jets offer really says what they think of Zack Wilson
  2. Assuming we get Watson, I think DJ has to be extended. I would have been ok with him walking before, but we aren't going to have 1sts to replace him for 3 years. His extension should be a priority.
  3. So if it goes down like that, does Matt Rhule get a pass because the team was gutted, and we didn't have Deshaun for almost half the season?
  4. Darnold is really gonna be dumping off to CMC next year in a Texans uniform. Cause it worked so well here. But I'm with you. It makes no sense.
  5. Yeah I'll believe that when i see it. No team with Darnold is sweeping anything.
  6. Id still rather give up CMC than DJ Moore or Jeremy Chinn. CMC is electric but he's damaged goods at this point.
  7. I don't know how the cap works out exactly, but if CMC goes and we keep Burns, Chinn, and DJ Moore I'm calling that a win.
  8. That's just Free Agency though. Most players end up with more once they hit the open market. The only time a discount comes into play is if Tom Brady is your QB.
  9. Kirk Cousins just got a NTC on his 1 year extension. Is Kirk Cousins elite?
  10. Do they take his entire 18m, or do we still owe him some on our cap? What about Watson? Does Houston pay any of this year?
  11. I just don’t understand what the appeal for the Saints is at this point. If I was a QB I would only be interested in playing for Payton. Since he’s gone, what’s the point?
  12. I hate to give up Chinn in that big of a package, but Matt Rhule apparently doesn't know how to use him anyways. I'm mostly concerned about the 3 1sts, but at least we're not giving up our 2nds as well I suppose. I would think we'd have to lock in DJ Moore long term at that point, and then spend our 2nd and 3rds on OLine and defense the next couple years.
  13. The situation is interesting with this, because the Texans stand to benefit from a bidding war, while it actually hurts Deshaun's future team. I don't know that he benefits from waiving his clause for more than the team he wishes to play for (of those that have offered).
  14. Yea I assumed he would drag it out a few months an ultimately return. I couldn't see Tom going out like that in the playoffs when he still has gas in the tank.
  15. I'm just pointing out the risk that a guy who is unhappy and forcing a trade becomes unhappy and forces another trade in the future. I don't think its that far fetched.
  16. Think about how great he'll be after 2 red shirt years to adjust to the NFL game.
  17. I agree but where is Watson under contract for 10 years? Don't you think the Houston Texans thought they were going to have their QB for the next 10+ years when they drafted Watson? That's the only thing for me. What if things sour with our front office/management after 3-5 years?
  18. The 49ers would have been the perfect team to make a Deshaun Watson trade tbh. Before they decided to give up multiple 1sts for Trey Lance.
  19. Basically every team's rebuild time is the period of time it takes them to draft a top tier QB. The Rams drafted Jared Goff at the start of their rebuild, and accumulated tons of talent around him and on defense. They realized Goff wasn't going to be enough, so they cashed out their future 1sts to go all in on the roster they built. The Broncos traded for Wilson because correct or not, they believe they have a Super Bowl roster waiting for him. We're just hot shotting a trade for a veteran franchise QB without the roster to go with it. I don't understand why our current FO is so averse to drafting their own QB, when that's literally how any team goes from being bad to good. They draft their own QB.
  20. Its easy to look at losing Burns or Chinn in isolation. But if we lose both, and you combine that with the fact that Reddick, Gilmore, and Jackson are probably all gone through FA. The defense is going to be completely different. Also interesting that they don't seem to want Derrick Brown. Haven't been too impressed with him myself.
