Sean Payton to coach in 2023 for the right team
PNW_PantherMan replied to Ja Rhule's topic in Carolina Panthers
If Jerry is as patient with McCarthy as he was with Garrett, he's going to be waiting a long time. -
I hope you find this as funny as I did

Robbie Anderson: Fans shouldn't bring negative energy
PNW_PantherMan replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
This guy is not worth the negative culture he brings. Don't like this kind of attitude as part of the team. Especially not for a slightly above average talent. -
Chuba about to feel the heat?
PNW_PantherMan replied to LondonderryPanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
The textbook definition of a replacement level player. Anyone you pull off the waiver wire is going to be about the same. -
Thats funny but I wouldn't even give him that much credit. A good cover band can execute someone else's musical composition in a competent way. McAdoo's offense is more like a crappy garage band that can't even play in time together.

No hands, no vision, no balance, no explosiveness. I said it last year but Chuba is replacement level at best. -
Yea I can't even be mad at the McAdoo hire. No decent coach was going to come in and work for a lame duck head coach. The writing is on the wall for Rhule and the only person that hasn't seen that is Tepper.

His plan is to collect as much of that 7 year contract as possible until he returns to college.

Are we at the lowest point in panthers history?

We're already at 4 crappy seasons in a row after this one. And even if the right coach is in place, we're probably due for another one next year. That's half a decade of poo football to sit through. -
0-2 has Rhule’s seat red hot. Does 0-3 get him fired?
PNW_PantherMan replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well if he's our Chuck Noll, doesn't that mean he gets 23 years or something? -
Does Tepper keep Fitt and let him hire his own coach?
PNW_PantherMan replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
No and I don't think that's really a fair argument to make. Of course we have some talented players. Marty Hurney drafted some talented players too. But overall, he didn't do a good enough job to build a winning roster. By the logic in your post, we should have never fired Marty Hurney. The FA signings have been so-so, the draft picks have not been that great, and the trades have been bad. I don't think getting fleeced by the Jets or trading up to select the seemingly worst QB in this past year's draft has anything to do with Matt Rhule's coaching. If we let Fitterer run the show, I really hope it works out. I'll be the first one to admit I was wrong about him. But it seems about as likely to me as Rhule being our Chuck Noll. -
Man Beason was an absolute monster in his prime.

I really don't know why you keep harping on this. That rebuild is gonna happen anyway in 2-3 years if Fitterer doesn't work out. It's not really about Tepper hiring someone. It's more about do you think Fitterer is worth 3 seasons before trying again? I haven't seen enough to think so. -

Tepper gave him this 3rd year, so I doubt he fires him after 3 games. My guess is he will get enough games to eliminate us from playoff contention at least. -

He already is. Its irrelevant. He's the owner either way. Where's the argument for keeping Fitterer around? What personnel moves has he made that give you any confidence? -

That's just the reality of hiring a new GM in this league. Nobody has 100% hit rate. GMs fail all the time. Even if Tepper hires a consultant to hire the GM, or a team president.. how does he find a good candidate for that position? At a certain point it starts with the owner hiring someone. -

PNW_PantherMan replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
So far the best arguments I've heard is Tepper sucks at hiring and Dan Morgan likes Fitterer. I'm not sure those are good enough reasons to give Fitterer the next ~3 years of this team's future. After that time, we'll likely be in the same exact spot we are now. Might as well go ahead pull the plug, start over, and roll the dice now. -

They were setup to be the next dynasty and then crumbled. There's a lot of interpersonal issues at play there, but I have not been impressed by the management of that team since drafting Russ and Bobby Wagner. -

And made bad trades -
At what point do you end this Cousins thing? The Vikings have gone nowhere for years with tons of talent surrounding him offensively.

If anything he should be afraid of Slay. Dude is all over the place.
