Na. I’d rather roll the dice on Jaycee being healthy versus Jeudy being useful.

Probably deserved, but its funny how the perception of Campen went from OL whisperer to dog poo in 1 season.

J person, Athletic. Canales has one job Fix Young
PNW_PantherMan replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I remember the rough patch between Harbaugh and Shanahan but I forgot it took Shanahan 3 seasons to get things going. Now this year you have Dan Campbell getting it together in year 3. Hopefully Tepper will be more patient with Canales than he was with Reich. -

It’s possible but I really doubt it. If Bryce is the same or worse next year I’d expect the team to move on. Real question is does this coach survive to see that happen? -
Panthers closing in on hiring DAVE CANALES

Please don't. If thats the case, just get the best pick possible. -

Agreed. I will be tempered in my comments so I can reserve the right be outraged in hindsight. -
Donnelly: Process used to hire Morgan was wrong

He'll be fine. Money is the last (only?) thing you don't have to worry about when working for Tepper. -

He could be terrible but I don’t hate this choice. I figured he was the guy after Morgan was picked. -

John Harbaugh didn't have any head coaching experience before the Ravens. -
QB Quandary: 2024 Draft, FA Stopgap, or Stand Pat?
PNW_PantherMan replied to rayzor's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is the best way to go. Spend draft choices and salary on improving the positions around the QB. If Bryce doesn’t work out, at least we have better pieces around the position for the next guy. -

Hey Nick Sirianni might be available soon -
I think the best selling point of the job is it’s several years pay for 10 games of work.
-
Of course he will. Why not get an absurd offer from Tepper and see if your preferred team will match or up their offer?

Breaking, Ian Rapoport: Fitterer Fired
PNW_PantherMan replied to NJPanthers12's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm surprised he actually got fired today. -
The best thing the Bears have done is fleece us lol. Other than that, its not impressive IMO.

Out of the list in the OP I would be most excited about Hortiz. Don't know anything about him, but the Baltimore Ravens are one of the better run front offices in the league since they moved from Cleveland. Hard no on the Bears. Peters from the 49ers would probably be a good bet but it doesn't sound like he's leaving.

Is being well liked in arguably the worst front office in football something that should be valued?

Mingo done for the year with foot injury
PNW_PantherMan replied to mrcompletely11's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't really understand why we reached on this guy and DJ Johnson instead of trading back up into the late 1st to take a guy like Zay Flowers. There were some good receivers on the board still, but we waited until they were gone to go after Mingo. -
Marty Hurney sucks. But the saddest part is, we could literally upgrade by re-hiring him as GM and Ron Rivera as HC lmao. How far we have fallen.
-
Yea lets promote Fitterer. The guy who has been the worst GM in team history and likely stabbed Reich and others in the back to save his own skin. Sounds like someone a new GM and coach would want in the office.
-
We'll be lucky to get the coach from the Cheezit commercial at this point.
