Yea and the Kenny Pickett class wasn’t so hot either. Most classes aren’t good. Especially when they aren’t advertised as such. But you guys go ahead and fawn over the next EJ Manuel.

I wouldn’t take a QB in the first round this year. I have said we should wait until the college season plays out before we say it’s a weak class. But it’s a weak class.

Probably not. Saban seems the type of dude to keep everything sunshine and roses in the public eye. Did you see him on the NFL Draft coverage? He basically gushed about every guy that was picked.

If anyone should have any interest in a reclamation project (salary aside), it should be the 49ers. They have the all world roster that Bryce supposedly needs to be good. Even though that all world roster isn't enough to carry Brock Purdy who's clearly a better QB at this point.

Isn't the 1960's like the dead ball era of football? How in the world did they give up that many points? Sheesh

I would take all draft picks off the table from being traded. And I would also avoid blowing up what little talent we have to pick up 3rd day picks. I would draft BPA and just try to build a sound football roster. Our roster is historically bad right now, and it makes absolutely no sense to take any kind of leveraged shots at QB or anything else. We need to draft well for 2-3 years before we can even think about competing in this league.

Not everything is 100% bad or 100% good. Most things aren't. The moves that Morgan made at guard worked. They were expensive, but it worked. Also, we didn't pick in the top 5 very often with Marty Hurney, and his ability to draft good players in the 1st shouldn't be discounted. Of course, we didn't have a great hit rate in the 2nd and beyond. And he had no idea how to manage the salary cap.

He was a great recruiter and college coach. His style just doesn't translate to the pros at all. He wasn't the first like that, and he won't be the last.

The Greg Schiano tough guy stuff doesn’t work in the pros anyways. Making guys run hard to punish them is a high school coach move

He was a nice piece to have. He has fallen off a cliff and looks like the slowest guy on the field this year. He is awful at rushing the passer now, rotational or not.
