  1. He knew he lost the job before the season was over last year.
  2. It does make you think. Cam really poured his entire being into this franchise.
  3. I think he wants the Falcons. The Saints can perform whatever black magic rituals they do down there and make something happen. The Falcons are scrambling to get their poo together to make it work. I think he's just waiting to see if they can.
  4. Its his childhood team and he's been involved with them for a while. Former ball boy, Warrick Dunn (as a Falcon) gave his family a house when he was 11 years old. If it were me, and you reverse the situation, I would choose the Panthers. A chance to play for your childhood team? I'm in.
  5. The most Matt Rhule thing possible would be for us to trade for Matt Ryan lol
  6. I dont think so exactly. If Watson had waived his NTC for 2-3 teams, the Texans could just choose the best offer for them at that point. I think he's going to waive it for the one he wants and thats it.
  7. One thing is for sure. Watson is going to hear the boo birds in Charlotte forever if he chooses Atlanta or New Orleans lol.
  8. Just noticed I'm over 1k posts finally. So many people to thank. First, I'd like to thank Deshaun Watson for causing a series of mega threads. I'd like to thank @Mr. Scot for being an inspiration. Also I'd like to thank @WOW!! For never changing his mind on something as we argued the same thing for dozens of posts. Also @SizzleBuzz for baiting me on several topics. Thanks everyone and I look forward to the next thousand posts!
  9. Thats pretty much where I'm at. Watson would have been exciting, but if we trade for Jimmy G or Baker that's just awful. Best to just stay out of that market now.
  10. So if Watson is a Panther we’re all gonna celebrate, but if he’s not we’re gonna laugh at the team that traded for him? you guys are something else lol
  11. And Howell isn’t due for a contract. Trading for Baker is a bad idea.
  12. We can only hope that Sam is the starter to be honest. Because at this point, I think we're doomed to trade our 1st for Jimmy G or Baker, which would be awful.
  13. This whole thing was doomed when the thread was titled "The Finale".
  14. Speculation is he doesn't want to play in cold weather cities. I'm guessing the Browns situation is too good to outright say no to though.
  15. I like this signing as a guy to carry some of the load between the tackles. As long as we're talking about Chuba, we could probably replace him with this guy and Abdullah. Not big on Chuba at all, and I don't think he's a good benchmark for other NFL RBs. Not even Panthers ones.
  16. Agreed. I'd rather take a swing at a rookie that's an unknown, than commit a bunch of money (and picks for a trade?) to a guy we know isn't good enough to be the dude in this league. Rookie is almost a free shot minus the draft choice spent.
  17. We just need to draft our own QB. Browns wanna move on because he's not good enough. He looked like Sam Darnold at times last year.
  18. No thanks. He's not that good. Observe.
  19. He's gonna be on thin ice this year. Especially if we miss out on Watson. Have to think Tepper will blame that on Rhule.
  20. I'm guessing he picks the Falcons at this point. Seems to be his childhood team. He called them to reach out about an offer. I was looking at Watson's Wikipedia page and it says that when Warrick Dunn played for the Falcons, he gave Deshaun's family a house in 2006. https://www.thefalcoholic.com/2017/1/10/14223324/former-falcons-rb-warrick-dunn-donated-house-to-deshaun-watsons
  21. Robbie might actually have a good year if Deshaun is the QB.
