We are DOOMED! Panthers expect Rhule back for 2022...WTF
PNW_PantherMan replied to usmcpanthers's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well then I guess we know Tepper is a lousy owner. No coach should be guaranteed 3 seasons. Why didn't Urban Meyer get 3 seasons? Steve Wilks? Freddie Kitchens? The list goes on. Tepper is a bad owner. -
Skip Bayless “the Carolina panthers are a clown show”
PNW_PantherMan replied to philw5289's topic in Carolina Panthers
Skip Bayless isn't dumb. He puts on a show for views. It's like actually hating a heel in pro wrestling. You're kind of falling for it. But that being said, he's right. And I'm glad the Panthers are on blast now. -
Mike Florio rags on Rhule, Darnold and the Panthers

Good. Maybe the embarrassment will expedite Rhule's firing.- 30 replies

The defense is built to play with a lead but they’re paired with an anemic offense that’s allergic to points.

Perfect setup for the new coach if Rhule tanks next season. I can hear it now… With the 1st pick in the 2023 draft, the Carolina panthers select… Bryce Young.. Quarterback.. Alabama.

So the cardinals shouldn’t have fired Steve Wilks? The Browns shouldn’t have fired Freddie Kitchens? Two years isn’t enough time to evaluate a coach that’s showing some potential. Two years is more than enough time to identify a turd like Rhule.

If you are the greatest coach in the history of football and you’re winning at Duke, you are going to get an opportunity at a school that could win a championship. Also Alabama isn’t an automatic ticket to a championship. They were not a great team when Saban took over, and they won’t be after he leaves. I’m not so sure about requiring a national championship to be interested in a college coach at the pro level. But Rhule didn’t beat anyone. For me, I just wouldn’t be interested in a head coach from the college ranks. NFL experience seems to win out vs purely college coaches.

Rhule: Cam holding ball too long
PNW_PantherMan replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
Rhule shows low character with these jabs at certain players. What kind of culture is he building exactly? -
Citation needed for this. I don't think this is the case at all. DT is a position where a player can have an impact immediately. At this rate, Derrick Brown will be 35 before he hits his prime. The more likely reality is he just isn't very good.

Panthers OL (Pass Blocking) PFF rankings
PNW_PantherMan replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Matt Rhules philosophy on the offensive line is basically the opposite of money ball. Instead of finding a guy that’s usable in one position for a deal, he’s found guys that can suck in multiple positions and overpaid them. Matt Rhule does not understand how to build a winner at the NFL level. -
Article: Watson did not want the Panthers
PNW_PantherMan replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean honestly how many star players do you think look at what Tepper and Rhule are doing and think "sign me up"? We love the team cause we can't help it. We're fans. But from the outside I can't imagine we look much different than the Texans.- 72 replies

Both of these defenses practicing the bend and also break philosophy.

Apparently it takes 3-5 years to rebuild an NFL team but the Chargers are 8-5 this year, after picking 1 spot ahead of us 2 drafts ago.

What is Tepper seeing that nobody else here sees?
PNW_PantherMan replied to mc52beast's topic in Carolina Panthers
My personal theory is that Tepper is giving Rhule the end of the season to audition for next year. Thats part of why Cam was brought in and Joe Brady was fired. I'm guessing he's not on track to pass that audition, and will be fired after the season. -
Damn the fullback is a beast!

Scary stuff with that injury. Didn't seem like his head hit the ground that hard, but I was worried as soon as I saw the position his arms were in.

I don't really care what week Rhule gets fired. But, if he gets another year then Tepper is officially a lousy owner in my book. If he trots out Rhule and Darnold again next year we are the new Bungles. -
Austin Reiter (Center) released by Miami
PNW_PantherMan replied to Michael G's topic in Carolina Panthers
It sucks but I wouldn't classify at as devastating. The Robbie deal and the CMC deal (hindsight is 50/50) look worse because they stretch beyond next season. -

Hasson Reddick… what are you going to offer him?
PNW_PantherMan replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Curious why you feel that way. I don't think Burns is a bad player, but to me Reddick is basically Brian Burns that hits guys instead of over pursuing them. -
Hasson Reddick… what are you going to offer him?
PNW_PantherMan replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yea but I think its a fair comparison to think about, because how likely are we to pay both of them huge contracts? Especially when we don't have anyone worth a poo in the middle to stop the run. -
Mike Florio & Rich Eisen discuss Rhule & Tepper
PNW_PantherMan replied to BlitzMonster's topic in Carolina Panthers
My issue with the trade is not that they took the shot, but how it was done. They paid too much, but more importantly there was no backup plan. Sam turning things around was far from a guarantee, but we didn't have another NFL caliber QB on the roster entering the season.
