  1. Yea basically here please get addicted. Here’s a hotline you can call so we can openly try to get people addicted. Don’t get addicted though but here’s some free money to get addicted.
  2. If you actually listen to those commercials, the rap sheet of side effects is nuts.
  3. I'm only in favor of this if they make it like cigarettes. Shouldn't be plastered all over the presentation of the game.
  4. But with all the player prop betting that goes on now, you don't need to throw the World Series. You don't even necessarily need to affect the final outcome of the game. It's insidious.
  5. I think it just makes it worse. There's more money in it now. But yeah. 1919 World Series was rigged around gambling.
  6. Bears didn’t have much more luck on the pick, but they came out ahead by netting assets from moving it out a year. They couldn’t keep pushing it out every year though. I mean you could in theory. But no GM is getting that level of patience while the team is struggling. Eventually you have to pick a guy. And odds are that guy is gonna be a complete bust or just mediocre (still a bust).
  7. Maybe Greg will get there eventually too. I think part of it is we just got tired of Romo after a while. When he was new it was refreshing. Romos got a long way to go before to catch up to Collinsworth though. That dude should have been pulled a decade ago.
  8. Yea I dunno. I still don’t think he’s worth the franchise cornerstone contract. Good player though.
  9. PFF currently has him ranked as the 21st overall EDGE for whatever that's worth. I'm not sure that's worth what he's taking up in cap percentage. At least not for a winning team.
  10. They only need to worry if Dalton is limited to 1 game. He has shown he can come in and light it up for 1 game. Last year he paved the way for Bryce to return after that 1 game.
  11. I don't disagree. I'm mostly thinking about it from a dream team perspective. Eli's not on any of those. Unless its the beat Tom Brady dream team.
  12. Sure but the outliers at the beginning of a sport will always be larger than when it’s more developed. There will never be another night train lane for example.
  13. All hall of fames are doomed to be dumb because the earlier guys will always have gotten in easier than newer ones. The game is always evolving and people get better and better at it over time.
  14. I meant hypothetically. You can pull from any prime HOF QB. Eli probably isn’t top 20.
  15. It’s an interesting debate. I don’t think anyone would actually want Eli as their QB. The only other guys that fit that mold are from a bygone era. I will say those 2 wins were way more impactful than all the ridiculous stat padding that goes on in the modern era at QB.
  16. Plus you can't exactly turn down BB's hand picked successor without souring the relationship post retirement. But then every coach from BB's tree has been garbage. So you knew it was never going to work out. Plus the whole roster was in a bad spot. Such a weird situation.
  17. Mayo was just the guy who had to step into Bill's shoes. That was never going to work out. The team was falling apart when Bill left. Mayo took one for the team. So Vrabel could come in and not be in BB's shadow.
  18. I didn't mean it like that. I just mean it's the reason nobody celebrates the fact that he's well exceeded his durability concerns. Like beyond a standard deviation. I don't wanna see anyone get hurt.
  19. I can see it now. Bryce gets extended on a “discount” which gets celebrated. Then next season we will have a decent QB fall into our laps and be stuck with our decision. Like Chuba and Dowdle.
  20. Maybe we should try gutting the offense next season since it worked to improve the defense. Just kidding.
  21. The 2nd sentence is the reason nobody’s thankful for the 1st.
