We should absolutely bring in another QB but not via trade. This team is much improved, but we still have holes that need to be filled in the draft and we shouldn't waste them on a year where we know we aren't a true contender. We need our picks to build our roster especially if Bryce is out long term and we decide to move on in the offseason and take another QB in the first.
I'm sure there's a vet on a practice squad or on the street that can come in and hold a clipboard and can hand the ball off to Rico and Chuba should something happen to Dalton. Dalton even at his age can at least throw in rhythm and allow us to truly get a good look at what we have on offense. Despite Bryce playing serviceable the last 2 games, I still get the vide that we are having to adjust everything in our scheme to allow him to function. It would be interesting to see what Dave can do when he's not shackled with the physical limitations of Bryce at QB.

I think he's short but there's not enough to overturn the call

I feel like this is the game where jimmy horn jr breaks out for a big play.

the last time the Carolina Panthers were above .500 — even briefly — was in Week 3 of the 2018 season, when they started 2-1.
Here’s a quick breakdown:
-
2018: Started 6-2 before collapsing to finish 7-9.
-
2019–2024: They have never been above .500 at any point in those seasons — every year they’ve either started 0-1 or 1-1, then dropped below .500 and stayed there.
So the last time they were above .500 at any point was November 4, 2018, after beating Tampa Bay to go 6-2.
We started out 3-0 in 2021.
We were also 4-2 after Kyle allen took over for Cam in 2019. After the London game people really thought we should move on from Cam and roll with Kyle Allen. We then proceeded to go 1-9 the last 10 games and fire Ron Rivera.

With Lewis out I'd actually prefer Brady move over to LG for this week and have Corbett play RG. Just run it back with the 2022 Oline exact with a better Center in Cade Mays.

Dan has done a good job so far, but the real test will be what does he do with Bryce's contract extension in 2 years.
Does Bryce do enough to convince Morgan to offer him an extension and if so, what is the number gonna be?

Win or lose Bryce needs to be benched next week. It's clear that he's not able to run the offense that Canales wants. We are having to adjust our whole offense to make Bryce functional. Forget dictating to a defense or attacking a weakness we have to pull out all stops just to be barley functional at times. There's no rhythm in our passing attack. It's all short passes or design pick plays with some screens and end arounds thrown in.

I'm calling it now Bryce is gonna throw a pick here and kill all the momentum.

This team has quit. They have no belief in the QB and if Dave doesn't do something soon, he's gonna lose the locker room and his job.

Offense just seems so easy for everyone else

The best we've looked as a franchise under Tepper was that little 12 game stint with Wilks as HC. Wilks isn't some great X's and O's coach, but he was able to identify the strengths of the team and inspire them and actually have them believe in the things the HC is saying.
I'm sure Luke could at the bare minimum be able to achieve the same result

The falcons are awful

Can we get a hands to the face call?

XL needs this soft benching he's been mentally sloppy the first 2 weeks. Brycen Tremayne has outplayed him so far this season and deserves the opportunity.
Part of me wonders if there's any smoke that the Bears might be open to trading DJ Moore. Him at the Z with Tmac at the X would be a crazy duo.

Levis actually averages fewer yards per start than Bryce. It wouldn't be entertaining.
It's because half of the passes are incomplete or intercepted but I'd rather see my QB at least try and throw the ball deep.

Jameis? Sure. 300 yards with 3 TDs and 3 picks would at least be fun to watch. Levis just sucks.
Levis can throw deep bombs and have funny turnovers it would certainly be entertaining.

If Bryce doesn't work out I vote for the chaos option at QB next year. Bring in Jameis Winston and throw the Titans a 7th for Will levis. No matter what it'll at least be entertaining and fun to watch.

Put in Dalton please

The grasping at straws namedropping QB's who all have the necessary physical tools to compensate for other areas in an attempt to prop up a QB who does not and has poor processing is getting awkward.
Bryce is a really smart kid and I'm sure he knows all the answers to the test but he hasn't been able to overcome his lack of physical tools and other DC's know this and play him accordingly. I think Bryce has good processing but when the correct read is the WR 30 to 40 yards down field and you have a defensive lineman coming at you what can he really do? He just doesn't have the arm to effectively and consistently hurt the defense and I think that's what's gonna do him in.
Pime example look at the INT versus Dallas last year when Thelien was wide open down the seam and Bryce threw it from a clean pocket and the ball was way short. Dc's watched that and knew that Bryce can't throw the ball deep.

I'd give Bryce until the trade deadline to prove he's the answer and if he's not I'm dumping him for whatever pick we can get and I'm riding with Dalton the rest of the way.
2 and a half years is enough time to determine if he can be the QB going forward so for Bryce he needs to come out over the next couple of weeks and show that. The other players in the locker room don't wanna waste another year of their careers waiting to see if you'll ever figure it out.
If you took a poll of the players in the locker room I'm sure they'd rather lose with a respected veteran Dalton who at least gives them some creditability versus losing with Bryce who the entire media will say was let down by his supporting cast when in reality it's Bryce's physical limitations that are holding this team back.

Trade for a QB?

Cams X-rays came back clean too when he suffered Lisfranc in 2019 if I remember right. So he's not out of the woods yet.
